You guys haven't even see how it works yet, why are you complaining about it? The only really hitbox issue I can probably see is Nightmare, and Astaroth which I assume is an obvious priority.

I don't think you were paying attention. I'm saying it's impossible to design around a hit box problem. You either get phantom range or you change the hit box. (I suppose there is a 3rd option which is distorting the animations or character model instead of just scaling them proportionally in all axises. But I can't believe that wouldn't look ugly.) I don't really care about alterations in hit boxes in casual play. My argument is the hit boxes on smaller/larger CaS will affect things even if only "slightly." This has nothing to do with my feelings about it.

You need to convince me you know what you're talking about. Why? Is it because Astaroth and Nightmare's hit boxes would scale further than other characters horizontally as they grow in height? You can't just throw something out there and hope it sticks. Even if it was "addressed" it doesn't mean everything that works on Nightmare and Asta will work on CaS of Nightmare and Asta or vice versa.

There are more hit box issues than just Nightmare and Astaroth being fat. Cass 1K cannot hit Lizardman facing forward. Siegfried and Nightmare's toes push characters away and make characters with shorter throw range whiff throw attempts. Siegfried has vacuum grabs. Astaroth can not be doom combo-ed. Night and Sieg (I think Ivy too) can be bubble infinited. Lvl 3 SXS B on block into FC 3B whiffs on Mitsurugi. A Nightmare tech trap (CH 4KK 33B I think? Not sure.) doesn't work on sisters. I'm not sure if these quirks also come with a CaS of that character. These are just examples on how hit boxes are significant.

You should be able to find some more relevant examples in this thread as it compares the hit boxes from bonus characters with the hit boxes of the regular cast.

I meant their throw animations conflicting with the other characters, clipping or grabbing air actually.

Lmao what the fuck do you want me to do huh? Until this game releases I'm gonna speculate but is it January yet? Nope. But anyways it seems like you didn't read what I wrote correctly the first time so like you did I'm gonna repeat myself again: it was an honest worry and I will see how this comes out when the game releases.
 
It would be awesome if the guest characters were more than from video games.

Think about it. Who wouldn't want to see Maxi fall before Sweeny Todd
 
Right, I forgot about those guys. Yeah Star Wars and Spawn were ridiculous, just stick to canon Project Soul.
If it was a variant of spawn instead of the present day spawn then it could have worked. Only problem with that is that no one here (aside from fans) has seen any other variant. I doubt many here have seen viking spawn, samurai spawn, pirate spawn etc.

True, that is the only 'variant' that I have seen. Never much been in to American comics, so I don't know his character. Nice Avatar by the way.

He was insanely popular that's for sure. One of my friend actually wanted to buy a gamecube just so he could buy the SC2 link version. I'm not sure what qualities made him so popular....Anyone want to contribute?(o.O)>
 
Zelda universe fits SC universe = win. Moreover, Link was immensely popular.

AC universe fits SC universe = another win. Moreover, Ezio was also immensely popular.

SW universe doesnt fit SC universe = fail. Characters are ok, but Star Wars and SC obviously dont mix.
 
There was also what's-his-face from Tekken. I would have enjoyed seeing Tifa from Final Fantasy (apparently that name amounts to profanity here :p), Ico or Wander from Team Ico and Shadow of the Colossus respectively, Simon Belmont from Castlevania, Lighting from FFXIII would work too-

Id rather not ever see final fantasy or Kingdom hearts. Its not a new idea, its a predictable first choice by everyone lately and they are already (over)rated enough.

Well, money is money, and if not Final Fantasy, then Namco has preyed on the biggest cash cow right now that is not Call of Duty: Assassin's Creed.

idk ..........from the new character reveals.........looks like namco is trying to get on some of that nintendo money..........

i mean cmon....lizardman couldnt look any more like an HD rendition of yoshi from supermario, put fuking cervantes(sporting his hot new red/pink outfit) on lizardmans back and it looks like mario riding yoshi,........then we can just call the game super mario calibur allstars.............
