Soul Calibur 5 - New Character Creation Mode Gameplay!

I'd prefer some BEAUTIFUL WINGS!

At least just for Lizardman CASs.

Like to say again, I'm pretty sure the old faces are just all that is unlocked for the video (and or without scrolling)

I'd like to see some more... modern ish clothes? I think more rennaisance era is what I'm going for. But I did notice a lack of normal looking shorts/tshirt/pants/skirts that don't make your character's ass look huge in Soul Calibur IV.

Well, first of all there's now an ass slider or something like that, and secondly:

Nothing here speaks to you?

Thats just pants selection.

True. I couldn't find quite as speaking a screen for upper body, but take a look:

Here's the undergear (only have screen for males, sorry.)

And upper gear.

I could only find images of certain parts of the whole selection, and I'm sure there will be more in the retail game. And keep in mind the adjustable items, decals, and patterns you can add to each part.

Goddamn.
First we get a cheaply made 5 minute character in a stream that's meant to be about Character Creation(even though only about 10 minutes or so was dedicated to it), and now this monstrosity. I get that they don't want to show too much of the system, but at least make an interesting looking character. Seriously not the best way to show off this mode, Namco.

Well they probably had to limit what they could show us. They had a rule or something, most likely...although I would have liked it if they show more of the layering system.

EDIT : Do I see Trollzama of BlazBlue fame?

All the more chance to one-up them once the game releases!

And, I'd argue they did a stellar job in the initial reveal.

On the matter, I took a look at the stream CAC sample to find some female stuff. They showed even less than I remember, but I've got two things:

The quality of the stream was piss-poor too, so bear that in mind.
The last 3 female faces are new to Soul Calibur V. The rest are from Soul Calibur IV. I'm sure there will be more in the retail game.

And here's a small compilation of the middle section gear they skimmed over.

I also went back to the initial reveal and noticed something I hadn't considered before, which should please:

FacePaintCountNStuff.png

There are at LEAST 66 face paint options.

I didn't mean to exclude the character that was created in the trailer. Of course they did a good job on that as well as the other characters shown in it. And I did notice the new female faces and clothing options, which I think look nice. Though, I wish that they'd get rid of some of the uglier faces. I don't even know anyone who uses some of those faces. A couple look like they've been curb-stomped. In SC3, I only used 2 faces. In SC4, they were a little better and I used about 6. But just once I would like the majority of them to be usable.

Sorry, I tend to ramble on a bit ._.

It's all subjective. I mostly used the same 3 faces(faces 1, 2, and 3).
But some of the ones you find ugly might not be ugly to others. While, yes, a few of them are just...ugh...there are a few that are actually decent-looking, in my opinion.

Also, I noticed in that screenshot of the female clothing that the Hunter's Shirt and Fighter's Robe from SC3 seem to have been brought back. Hopefully more of the SC3 clothing is also coming back.
