Soul Calibur 5 - New Character Creation Mode Gameplay!

I'd love to see a cloak, though I'd understand the large number of issues associated with it.

Different example from what you expected?

Enough demand was put into height and size adjustments so face adjustments should not be out of the question.

Maybe if demand is great enough, it'll be in Soul Calibur VI, but at this stage there's no chance of them switching the system they've got now.

Well, there are many different capes! But no cloaks from what I've seen. Like you said, there would be lots of issues, especially with clipping and stuff.

I'd prefer if the 1P outfits are exclusive to only the characters, tbh. (the same for P2 outfits)

I agree that 1p outfits should stay exclusive to the standard cast, at least the ones from this game anyway. Some things just need to be left alone for originality's sake. However i think the 2p outfits should be available and maybe SC 4 1p outfits. Only thing i really hated about them in SC 4 was the fact that a lot of coats/dresses took up more than one equipment slot. It would block you from using the pants slot for example and a lot of those 2p outfits did that.

In fact, i'd say SC 4's biggest problem with CAS wasn't so much the amount of items but rather, how they cut back crucial clothing layers. They way they combined layers was really bad too because the shirt and armor layer were combined, leaving the under layer by itself which only had a handful of options available on it. The belt layer was cut as well but then you would notice they left the sock and mask layer which only had a few things on them so they were a waste. Clearly, they did not care about giving the player a good amount of options. This meant SC 3 did a better job with it variety and option wise.

But looking at SC 5 so far. Not only can i see that the missing layers are back, we now also have object attachments, embroideries, patterns, cross gender equipment, etc. And all that shit is fully customizable with placement options and colors. It just seems really hard to complain about anything now. The only thing i'm not seeing that seemed somewhat important to me was the ability to toggle on/off one side of arm/shoulder/leg armor. Since they tend to design a lot of their characters "side heavy", i figure they should let players do that as well. But still, even if they only brought back everything that was in 3,4 and BD, it would still be REALLY good customization and a huge improvement. That makes me wonder if the old 1p and 2p stuff is coming back or if they will cut all that out? Personally, i'd rather they left all of that in even if its at the expense of brand new items. All the character specific stuff looked really good and there is only so many different ways to design a shirt or a piece of armor.

*Sigh* Already i can tell its going to take serious discipline to stop myself from spending so much time at CAS rather than training and brushing up on my skills. I'm also not looking forward to seeing the swarms of crap people are going to put together online, which considering these idiots will have a better CAS tool at their disposal, its going to piss me off even more.

I'd rather they put it in and just let it clip. If the clipping makes the character look like shit, then just wear tighter clothing under the cloak.

There are some hairstyles from default characters in SC: BD I wouldn't mind seeing returned though, like Setsuka's P1 hairstyle, because I hate the Geisha hairstyle they have. Seong Mina's P1 hairstyle is a good one as well.

I actually like the idea of using P1 & P2 costumes and hair styles. In BD a lot of the equipment could easily match with some pieces of P1 gear. It just adds more creativity and saying "no I don't want P1 costumes to be edited" does nothing but sets a limit to what you do. I don't know why some would be against the idea; it's far different than editing the body of one of the main characters. Now THAT'S something I wouldn't want.

Besides....I want to use Raph's hat for one of my characters >_>

An entire new system just to edit the faces? nope.

For example, I dont like Tira's P1 hair, so I plan to switch that with her 2nd player hair on her p1 outfit.

That's a question that has struck my mind more than once: How do you unlock CaS content? All I can say is, I hope it's not the way you unlock it in SCIV. Both ways were ridiculous: You either used ugly CaS with high stats to decipher the message you were given at the beginning of the fight while trying to beat a CPU in steroids, or you earned a series of "honors" by doing tedious tasks. Either way you did it, it wasn't really a test of skill, or helped the player get any better.

^Well CotS WOULD if it were not for SC3's AI.
And with SCV's AI, this mode would turn out to be REALLY interesting if a CotS-esque mode was included.

Thank god for the honor's thing. I could never get past the level where I had to defeat 3 or 4 people only by Critical Finishes.

Ugh that level sucked. Spam Prep A+B with Raph or 6BB with Yun. Also make an edit of either with the skill Soul Gauge Damage A.
But instead of putting in all this effort, I'd rather have an actually enjoyable mode...
I agree. They should just keep a Mission Mode separate, and have something in favor for the CaS so options can be unlocked that way, or maybe just have the shop feature and make 3 new shop girls. LMAO!
