Wind Dancing - The Talim Combos and More!

does anyone have any problem doing the ice wind combo from the 2P side? i can do it just fine from the 1P side but is there any tips i can use to get better at it. i play the ps3 version of the game. i really use this combo alot from the 1P side but i want to use it on the 2P side and i have never was successful in doing it on the 2P side.

talimmaster- I have more trouble from the 2P too. But I can't really do it from the 1P either (haha). And when I get some more time on the 360 I'll join ya.

No it isn't... Talim has 4 shakeable stuns...

AA6BA (ch)
cant remember what the fourth one is.

You may be thinking of WL K (first hit) as the 4th one on your list, but when I was answering the question above I guess I was thinking of shakable stuns that don't allow guaranteed damage. Nothing is ever free if you get a stun from CH 6K, but 33A (first hit), AA6BA and WL K (first hit) all allow some free followup damage it seems.

You're right in that technically you can shake out of mega damage options, but I believe poke moves are free. I'll test it more today just to make sure.

2nd hit CH A+K AA6BA AS A+B 2A+B
2nd hit CH A+K AA6BA WC AAB
2nd hit CH A+K AA6BA WC B:B AAB

Also 11B if hit at tip, if you do AS:4 A+B it will combo. Sort of.


Wow, this is the best new useful info I've seen in awhile. Great find! I was playing around with it last night and it is pretty cool to string those combos together. Some are not guaranteed though since you can shake the second stun vs. slow moves... only ~WC AAB_AS A+B seem to be guaranteed (maybe ~WC K too). Still, I like the thinking behind this setup (I haven't tried the 11B combo yet).

The last part of the A+B 236A 236B relaunches them but I think there's too many neg frames at the end to land anything else, although usually I've lost momentum by the time I land the entire thing I forget to check if you can land anything
it can be AC'd to the right and back left though.

^^^ Nice.... better than just 2A+B.

I checked out ShenYu's 11B~6~4 AS A+B 2A+B combo. It works VERY well on big characters like Lizardman since you can't accidently leap over them. It only grazes little characters if too close, but otherwise it isn't a bad option considering no CH is needed.

i've never really cared till i got on here and calibur forums lookin at talim stuff.

I mean, everywhere I go, I wind sault. The game tells me im wind saulting. Talim says we're wind saulting. We're wind saulting!

Then we get on the forums and the non-talim people are like "FUCK YOU YOU'RE AIR SAULTING". :(

Its for a better cause though, so whatever.

I still think it's hilarious that i spent about 5 minutes trying to do AS A+B, A+B 236A 236B before i realized that WS meant while standing. XD

yeah, sorry about that. I was just messing around with Talim the other day. I don't really know abbreviations for her stances, and just used a common one for while standing. I still like it cause it looks absolutely awesome when you land it, and the sheer number of hits will probably break mid armour.

Ok, new combos i found

236B, 33B:B, 2A+B 73 damage.
(4A) K, 33B:B, 2A+B 70 Damage
both of those are +1 or 2 points of damage if you do 44B instead of 2A+B
*edit* forgot to check this. They can be AC'd :( But they still combo.

Ok, now, unless i've done this wrong (which is completely possible) I think i've come up with a shitton of tech traps.

Before you start looking into these, here are a few things to note.

A) I found these by doing the inputs in training vs a freestyle set to
1) Do Nothing
2) All Guard
3) Ukemi various directions

B) I went back and looked at a few of them doing recorded command while I myself tried to tech out.

C) I think some of these might be character dependant. I tried most of them against Nightmare, some on Amy and some on Tira. Where I think character dependant comes in is how they tech, cause some of the things that worked on Amy didnt work on Talim when i was doing the recorded session.

D) Some of these I dont have all the details listed. Im just lazy and dumb, sue me.

E) No, I didnt try all the options that I think work. I actually started working with 44B, and then I started thinking of 1A, then i kept on coming up with new ideas as I kept going, and eventually I got kinda burnt out for the moment.

And so, once again, please correct me if im wrong. It's completely possible that I did all this for nothing.

Well after some long testing. I am pround to say that i have found a hidden jf with Talim!!!!

CY, what is this sexy jf?

Well when you do 8WR 3B,6B, and if it time just right you will do 45 dmg(NH) to 48(CH) dmg,and casue a bit more knockback it does without the jf added. Also you can do 2A+B after it, if you wanna mix up your game a bit. A great move for mi x up I say, and I shall make a video soon.
