So KDZ, how many people actually ducked the K in 4BBK on reaction? Or any variations of that kick....? Total, in the tourney?

Interesting note: If you get hit by the LO B, you cannot duck the K.

So ChaCha, aside from a few errors, since god knows we're all not perfect, most people either ducked it or punished it with a TCing attack.

yooo I wasn't being sarcastic, I was just trying to gauge how many people knew about Maxi and if they were able to punish. Trying to get a sense if he got by on extreme lack of knowledge or if you were doing something with him that I missed, cuz I always love to improve maxi.

Nice matches so far man, I stopped being sarcastic a long time ago, I just was asking straight up no puns intended.

Well, then just remove the "since god knows" line and you have my answer.

They knew what to duck, when to duck it, but as far as the quirky or deep shit goes they didn't.
But that's pretty much everyone regarding Maxi.

This makes me happy! From that vid of you beating the hell out of drty, I can see that it's your defence and knowledge of your opponent that really contributed to the win, and no so much the char. you used. :D

i thought the same thing. 1st yoda wins a tourney now maxi. that just proves that ANYONE can win with the right tools!!

I love the almost over use of LI B .

been trying to mess with the canceled variations of that but looks like the regualr version is staple!! and the follow up RO KK will be part of my game from now on!!

As for the vids, not good, but not terrible either. Opponent's anti maxi wasn't strong at all, they ate almost every LI B. KDZ's maxi gave up some good opportunities too. No need to dissect thoroughly. I would like to see the grand finals :) that's where the hot sauce will be.

All versions of LI B are awesome. I keep saying that around the forums over and over :p i even put an almost complete LI B strat somewhere heh :p

The follow up is BL K,K. RO K,K is the slow tech jump double kick that slams to the ground...BL K,K is the slow low kick to mid kick.

Good shit from KDZ...gives us all a little hope even if the other players had no clue how to fight Maxi.

ahhhhh....i stand corrected....again.....lol. kinda makes sense when i first read it, cause BL B is the low poke that you can follow with that same kick. I thought you were right, but I still love you
 
ive been using 4B to RO A since calibur 2 another great one is RO A A+K LO BK. because you know they like to duck after RO A. anything to open up BL KK i say. great matches KD.
 
I use LO BK VERY sparingly. I almost always use LO K or LO A, unless i really think they're going to try to attack...and even then...i'd probably still use LO A hahaha.
 
hmmm after watching the videos, we can conclude that the opponent knows nothing about Maxi, which gave Maxi the main advantage, not know to duck LO BK, BL KK and the in the Setsuka vid, opponent was rather linear which is why she ate all the LI Bs, and not being used to GIing LI on reaction...
 
And you cannot disagree that he didn't have full control of his own character, either...
Unless one would want to perform LI A and leave it at that. Heh.

I don't see why anyone who knows Maxi would get excited by the results.

I do have full control over Maxi. When I mash buttons, Maxi dances all cool-like ( YAY! (>^_^)> )
And how many opportunities did the player have to duck my LO BK, cause you still can't duck the K if the B hits.

I'm pretty sure that perfect anti-character defense only exists only when you've played as / against a character for a long time.
There are tricks that can be exploited in the 2 out of 3 games environment of a tournament. Not everyone is 100% ready to fight against every "low tier" character in that setting, no matter how much shit they talk about "top tier" and "low tier".

I will always exploit what I can against players who don't know.
I will always play in a different manner against players who do.

You guys should start figuring out how to do the same.

Can't wait for my finals videos to come out.

I do perform LI A by itself as well. The 2nd hit is slightly delayable, it's good stuff when you don't want to commit yourself to going into BL by doing LI AA and LI AAB is HORRIBLE on block.

I also agree with what KDZ said, ppl talk about Maxi sucks omg, so punishable, so unsafe, so risky....yet 90% of the players i see vs Maxi...just simply don't know what to do vs him.
