Would your opinion of the series change if they took it into M-rated territory?

Though I'm sure someone may have already answered this..

1. Nudity (As proven on Kasumi's ending)
2. Strong Sexual Content (In pretty much everything)
3. Blood and Gore (Watch Hayate's ending)

I'm sure DOA5 will go downwards to T with the direction they are taking with it.

There are things that Soul Calibur does need to work on, but of all things that would make it a better improvement to the series, blood, gore, strong sexual content, and even more nudity won't make it better. I was just glad that PS toned it all down in the clad department.

If anything, I do agree with DevilsDisguise that the atmosphere could be more darker, or more mature in a sense of nobility. That includes more "realness" amongst the new characters. Right now, they are all just underdeveloped characters with anime qualities. While naivety can be included, I would like to see this naivety turn into a tragic moment amongst those characters, and when I mean "those characters", I am currently talking about the Asian group.

People need to realize that a woman can be sexy or really good looking without showing off a ton of skin. I think Pyrrha's cute and Cassandra(1st costume SC2) looked really badass. I hope Namco gets behind the movement of making badass female characters look a little more conservative. (the new tomb raider) Not saying every female character needs to be that way. I can't imagine Mina being fully clothed without showing at least some leg or something. just me opinion folks.

Im not gunna give a long and elaborate explanation. I just dont want that kind of stuff in SC. haha~
 
It really wouldnt bother me at all, but it'll likely never happen. They have enough problems with sales as it is without cutting into it further with an age restriction.
 
Do I want to have a Soul Calibur game with blood, decapitations, and torn limbs? Maybe, if Soul Calibur was part of the Mortal Kombat 90's craze. But isn't there another weapons based game with all the blood, decapitations and torn limbs? Oh yes, there were two. One was called Samurai Shodown and the other was called Mace: The Dark Ages (a.k.a. The Poor Man's Soul Calibur)
 
Anyways the question is..Why would they make it M rated in the first place? Is not like the dont have an adult fan base or whatever

In all honesty, I think desperation. lol

Desperation to conform to the more popular Western games that get graded so highly, which are mostly M. Usually games rated T, or E, graded highly are for their innovation, like Okami. Street Fighter IV was graded highly though.
 
True true...to be honest games with lots of blood or gore..or whatever dont really appeal to me. Examples include, MORTAL KOMBAT, Dead Space ( way too fucking scary.), God of War it makes me sick to my stomach, and Hitman..I just hate it. lol~
 
M Rating games get all the love because in America, we love Violence, boobies, red meat but we hate seeing sex and anything else that doesn't suit this country's lack of morals -__-

but as for an M rated SC, i'd rather namco just make another fighter and make that one hella violent

Hmmmm M rated Soul Calibur??

That it'll make it realistic in someway.
almost every strike in the game is already deadly
I thought about it and some attacks would look really bad if blood and guts were added
like Pryrrha's :2::B: :B:
Just image the blood spray all over her face after she hits the person O_0
