Siegfried Q&A / General Discussion

I spam the fuck out of B4 because it is really good. If they don't roll they are free to this. If they roll they're free to things that catch roll. Not to mention there are a ton of setups where B4 (latest input) is a force block. I'll do a write-up some time.

SCHB is not so good for this. +2 is not enough to get respected an try something solid after.
Btw it breaks in 11 and not in 8 like I rode here.
Aha! It breaks faster than SCH B, so its not redundant - cool :) (actually i have the guide, i feel stupid for not double checking it myself)

I let you fews months months guys to be as salty as me, I can understand that for sone reasons it takes lontger, hahaha. But I hope that it won't be too late... or that you will just give up like so mich did.
There's actually only one thing i am salty about and that is the high amount of tracking in general in SCV and the huge lack of tracking/auto align on Siegfrieds moves, which goes as far as letting him whiff against standing opponent.

If the fixing of his whiffs would involve bigger hitboxes, better tracking and some auto align, i would be the happiest siegfried player ever.

Hmm, I'm pretty sure someone said something about the 66A whiffing on Leixia's block. How often does that happen?
How do you guys feel about that move. I like it, but the recovery ...

66A is a lot different in utility than B4. 66A is more for its aGI and long range step kill than any sort of guard pressure - the GB is more of an indication to others that says "You shouldn't even block this. Please duck on reaction."

Two questions:

1. What is guaranteed after 3A? I know the combos thread says 2A+B and even 22_88BB are NC, but 22_88BB doesn't seem to be, and I thought someone got out of 2A+B by teching the other day...

2. Is there any use for 2A+B (other than after 3A)?

1. 2A+B combos depending on distance. If you hit with tip range 3A it might not combo. CE combos after it also if you get lucky.
2. I use it for oki sometimes for a quick 75 damage 2A+B, SBH kBE.

22BB works if you're close to the edge/wall, but not close enough for a RO/wallsplat. You have to move so you're perpendicular facing the edge, so change direction accordingly.

I've got a question? How good is 22_88kA 2AA (just). He has so many versions of his basic 1AA.
You get more + frames on hit. Don't do the second sweep though. You'll get punished hard because it doesn't have any push back.

I see. I've used the various string iterations of 1AA. Mostly everyone I played gets hit by the 1st horizontal low, but usually block the 2nd one. I guess I'll stick with just the 22_88kA SCH. It prob gives me more options.

Don't ever do the second hit of 1AA. Doing the first one is fine because if you space it right not a lot of people can punish it but the second one will get you punished hard. I love it when other Siegs I'm playing against do it just so I can get my free WR B. :D

Sorry, another question...how fast is iWS B from standing? I.e. what is the minimum number of frames it takes to duck and then begin rising? (This is leading up to, should I replace all of my 3Bs with iWR Bs?)

Theoretically iWR B is 1 frame faster not than 3B because the 2 input only adds one five frames to the WR move but in SCV doing iWR moves seems to be slower than previous games. Might just be me but the seem slower. Ducking and jumping seem slower in SCV.

Although someone can probably answer the frame specifics, I personally try to use iWS B most of the time except when trying to hit grounded opponents. The manual crouch input is also far more reliable than the few amount of TC frames 3B has for avoiding highs.

The fastest iWR input does indeed add 5 frames to the moves basic speed, not 1, which has been this way since at least SC4 (tho I'm fairly confident it was the same in SC3 as well). Also, apart from speed 3B has a good deal more range than WS B as well. This is especially important against all those pesky backsteppers at midrange.
