I'm down for that. I think that was the easiest spot I ever defended lol, because no one wanted to learn him! XD he was the best char for me, but he was also rather unsafe :0 oh well, this should be interesting.
 
Oh dear Xeph, what have you resurrected?

I'm back on PSN and I've shaken the rust off; but I don't want a spot. Not because I don't think I deserve it, but to be honest, fuck mirrors. Fuck all mirror matches. I hate them.

Edit: HRD you better have liked this post because I'm back on PSN. Not because of mirrors. Fuck them.

So you want to get beat by others and not a mirror. Mirrors are fun because you find your weaknesses fighting against your same character.

Who said I'd get beaten? Most people around here can tell you I'm pretty competent. ;)

Regardless of whether I win or lose, I have more fun doing so against someone else. Mirrors, though they're even ground, are pretty much never fun for me. I main Viola. When I meet another Viola player, I'd generally rather play Lei or Ezio. I'll still play against the viola, so your point of "finding your weaknesses against your same character" is pretty moot. I actually rarely lose Viola mirrors (There's a couple guys out there who are pretty damn good though). I still don't enjoy them. At all. Something about both characters having the exact same kits available just feels gross and repetitive to me.

But you'd be wrong.

Quick example - in SCIV, Shenrei was a better Setsuka than me. This is pretty much without a doubt in my mind. Not because of his posts or his knowledge, but because I saw how he performed in casuals. We met up at FSAK, I saw a few of his tournament matches, still thought he was a better sets than me. We came to our match, we mirrored, I won. Through the whole thing I didn't feel like I was outplaying him really, I just felt like his playstyle really didn't lend itself to beating Sets.

Come SCV - I'm playing Viola. I go into Viola mirrors, and I know exactly what I should do to counter Viola, but that really isn't how I play, or like to play. I like playing aggressive - I know they know my openings, Viola can punish Viola's openings for 160+ damage. I don't want to risk that - I don't play aggressive. I then don't have as much fun, etc. If I'm playing casuals, I just feel like I don't want to play her.

I knew i HAD to keep the replay of when i beat you, jacksalien :) What's rare is precious, even if it's luck.
It's pretty hard to say if a algol player is good or if he's just good because his char is imbalanced. Still, you clearly have both.
Probably best Algol i've ever played.

I don't doubt your skills- I'm just saying, Chaos1X is the greatest Algol of all time.

Also, you should definitely try and compete, instead of riding on the victories obtained in the lag arena.

I'm not upset at all, and I've yet to play you. I'm not saying your wins or matches are complete lag; but you can't deny that, when playing online, lag does exist, right? The game is a whole lot different via offline- and I'm only suggesting maybe you should try and compete offline since you're so amazing, and good, and manly- so very manly.
