I'm talking about moves like 6A+B and 6B in whip state from SCIVEllooo there, she has her whip moves, just hold either A or B to use the whip version of a move

fair enough, I'm more pissed about NO iCS bufferingI'm talking about moves like 6A+B and 6B in whip state from SCIV
I use to use it for the CS airborne trick^ The dreaded lag tactic, lol. I have never really used it.
lol I always only used it while playing drunk SC4, listenging to Led Zeppelin in order to to not get frustrated about lag.^ The dreaded lag tactic, lol. I have never really used it.
She doesn't have any 7:3 match-ups. Even 6:4 are a rarity.
I know this MU quite well now since one of my offline sparring buddies main him. Every character has to look out for 214B and 3B. Both are stepable, so if you can anticipate them, just step and whiff punish or use a horizontal mid. Also both 1(B) and 4(A) will hit Ivy out of 214B if you delay them a bit, which is why I never use it against those moves (free 80dmg or more for ZWEI). 1B is easily duckable on reaction, and I just step 4(A). I agree this isn't exactly a good MU for ZWEI, but it's not *that* horrible. He can't punish well so Ivy' s unsafe long range moves are more useful in this MU than they normally are, but he has higher damage than Ivy in general. Plus it's pretty difficult to JG punish him because of EIN.I think the matchup against zwei is just that bad......zzzz check it out. Zwei has really no good way to get around her zoning even when he's up close he has to look out for 214 B and 3B. It's bad enough he isn't a good block punishment char but then 1(B) and 4A are completely useless simply because Ivy's 214 B shuts both of them down clean(3b does not step 4A but 214 B does) if it's 6:4 then imo it's barely even that.....
Why?I think Ivy has the advantage against Viola.
Voldo isn't a character that I would zone, so that might be the reason why I see this match-up differently. I personally use a LOT of force against Voldo giving him as little space to crawl and be obnoxious. 214B a lot safer if Voldo is facing you. Infact, I don't think Voldo can blockpunish 214B if he isn't backturned.
Tira's GS 3B is 18 frames so Blockpunishing is nearly impossible with it and it's Lick punishable on block! Tira really needs her GS to out-damage Ivy and like you said getting in, if Ivy plays safe enough, is a gruesome task.
Tira's GS 3B punishes a lot of Ivy's whip moves for 100dmg, most notably 3(A) or 6(A).
Also both 1(B) and 4(A) will hit Ivy out of 214B if you delay them a bit, which is why I never use it against those moves (free 80dmg or more for ZWEI).EIN.
