Siegfried Q&A / General Discussion

They both have their pros and cons. Nightmares is faster and has more range, siegs is safer on whiff.
Nightmare utilizes his iaga more as punisher, while sieg uses his more as a spacing tool.

How is siegs 3K better though? Nm's 3K has more range and siegs has more advantage on hit. Both have their pros and cons.

Nightmare's 3K doesn't track to his right. Sieg's fully tracks and has better advantage on hit. He also has better/safer tools to capitalize off it (66K, 1K, etc.)

Also, Nightmare's agA serves roughly the same purpose as Siegfried's, for spacing/combo/frame traps.

I am just saying that both chars would probably be worse off if they would have the other ones iaga.
For NM iaga is one of his best punishers so it being a frame slower and having shorter range would be bad for his game. Sieg on the other hand has other punishers, so he wouldn't gain much from a faster iaga but it being more unsafe on whiff would be a big hit to his spacing game.

You must all carry on without me.

I'll be on Tatooine if you need me.

Godspeed, Siegfriends.

(I'm quitting Calibur.)

but you could play P4 AND SC5 :/

It's not a question of dropping one for the other. I just don't have fun with SCV - it's as simple as that. If there ever is a SSCV or SCVI, I'll definitely be ready to jump back in, but until that day, I'll be far, far away, at the cantina in Mos Eisley.

Did you not say in an interview that it was a great game and maybe the best in the series? Correct me if I'm wrong.

A game can be well built and still not fun to play. Siegfried himself is a good example of this, I think, since this is probably one of the most competitively viable incarnations of his moveset (barring things like SC2 Nightmare 3(B)2G), and yet I find myself enjoying his SC3 and SC4 movesets so much more, even though he was not as strong of a character back then compared to now. Of course, there are other factors at work that determine that, but I think that he's a good allegory for how I feel about the game as a whole.

Not to mention that interview is a bit dated now.

So true it feels like WRB spam all day or maybe that's just me.

WRB what siegfried player doesn't do that move lol its probably his best move strings a knee to the groin and another uppercut repeat again against a wall lol always amusing.

I forgot to mention 1K. You can't forgot 1K.

SCV Sieg in a nutshell: WR B, 1K, iagA, throws.
And after WRB on guard I back away camping in SCH for that SCH B.... and I think that is all of it really you described how he works in 4 moves... wow.
