Nightmare Video Thread

Flapjack mixups only really work if you flapjack a lot. Then you might train someone to duck into WRB or FCB.

But in general if you actually watch Thermidors matches, he heavily favors backstep. And if you're back stepping you're looking for whiff punishment. To utilize throw/mids you have to be playing an aggressive in your face NM.

So against season turtlers, he has hard time baiting stuff out to whiff punish. The only option is to switch gears.

4:59:00 - Me vs. Oosaka (Maxi) - Winners Finals Pool C24
5:16:30 - Me vs. Rickstah (Algol) - Losers Finals Pool C24

Things I learned from EVO.
- SFxT Fightpad pause button is in a very bad spot.
- It's so much easier to know when to CE when you hear your opponent mashing out their next attack on their loud arcade sticks.

- In all seriousness, there are some obvious matchup specific things I can take the time to learn, but I think under tournament pressure I fared quite well. I also got to play against Keev in the quarter finals so I learned a lot just by getting beat up by him.

Why did you let the bubbles stop you? Nightmare can GS A or A+B them but you should of JG them for meter gain.

During the maxi match you need to space a lot more you have more range than maxi and can make him whiff.

It takes getting used to but I believe it is actually possible for Nightmare to 33B bubbles on reaction as long as you know which side to step to with it. I've only had two people do it on me when I was Algol but it really made me stop using bubbles most of the time unless I was outside 33B range.

It's annoying though because now Natsu can beat it out just by doing A:6. i11 moves also beat the knee since kicks never win clashes.
I'm just busting ur balls man lol. Even though Natsu can beat it out doesn't mean it's not safe. That's all I was saying.

To my knowledge, Cerv aB and Natsu A:6 are the only moves that can completely shutdown Sieg's options after 3(B) or WR (B).

That's only if you include doing crazy things like 3(B), G, 3(B) to avoid some people's AA and various stance transitions to avoid other things. Take out those options and just talk about moves that rape SCH there are quite a bit.

Enough about Sieg more about Nightmare! :D

My excuse for not playing the range game against Maxi is that I was still getting used to the pad and wasn't confident I could get iagA. But yeah, eventually I'll actually actually learn the Maxi matchup. Algol too. Thanks for the feedback guys.

EDIT:

My area just opened up a bar/arcade down town and I met a guy with a good Siegfried.

Here are some NM battles I've had over the past month or so. Looking for some critique as far as my NM use. All comments welcome.

Here are some throwbacks from February

Thanks for watching

I apologize. The posting of all winning matches was completely inadvertent. I usually try to mix in wins and loses but I believe my NM vids were too long that way. But I believe each video video should have some very close matches. I feel there should be something here worth noting.
