DAMN !Sadly, its A.I. only.
People make tier lists instead of ease of use lists.
I honestly think the latter would be more useful. For every game, really.
But whatever...
Easy: Kasumi, Kokoro, Mila, Jann Lee, Eliot
Intermediate: Christie, Rig, Tina, Zack, Hayate, Hitomi, Ayane
Upper Intermediate: Helena, Bayman, Bass, Gen Fu
Expert: Brad Wong, La Mariposa, Lei Fang, Hayabusa,
VF Tier: Akira, Pai, Sarah
But if you neglect what she is known for (various counter holds and parries), it isn't easy, but from what I've seen in gameplay, it shouldn't be too difficult for her. Might take some time though.Lei Fang is pretty easy to pick up

Hard Mastering: Chirstie, Helena, Brad, Sarah
Not noob friendly! some of the longest and hardest combos. Easily punishable but worth it in the end.

Ha its funny cause on VF5 Sarah would be one of the easy ones to pick.
eliot is definitely in the noob friendly category. he has a high damage combo off of his 236T that is so easy i mastered it in less than 2 minutes in training. and most of the time was just finding the move to keep the opponent airborn. plus he has a wide variety of mixups on his long punch strings now. before they were mostly mids. Eliot has always been easy to use though. even in DOA4 i didn't even known him well and i could win a lot of fights with his poke game.I wouldnt say Eliot is easy to pick up, he has a tough time getting his offense going due to his limited mix ups. Really the only threatening low he has is 2P+H and that cant kick off his stun game due to its long recovery. He'll be fishing for counterhits, and extending his combos for max damage with crouching 3P can be difficult. He has a very simple plan of attack but weaknesses that make this plan difficult to initiate, which means you will have to work hard to compensate for his linearity.
Unless you wanna mash punches all day, he's great for that. But in overall easy of use terms he is only beginner friendly when being played at a low level.

Lei Fang is pretty easy to pick up
Gen Fu is intermediate
Zack is easy to pick up but very hard to master.
and I have no idea what's making you think that Christie is indeterminate
She's one of the hardest character's to get a hang of.
5+ stances, 200 moves - many of them unlisted. He may be easy on the execution scale, but the difficulty with him lies in the implementation and memorization of his stuff.Brad Expert? I guess lol. Maybe it's because I have played him for years.
Hitomi has a lot of strings that require a directional input mid-string and/or a button hold. The added complexity to her move set (as easy as it may be to pick up and play her), puts her in the intermediate tier along with Ayane. Mainly for reasons of timing.Really? She's intermediate? I could swear that Hitomi is the easiest character to use in the game aside from maybe Mila or Jann Lee. She's a helluva lot easier to use than Ayane. Other than that interesting list!
