If there was a Soul Calibur VI, prequel/sequel/reboot/retcon?

Another thing about Patroklos that I thought about.

Unless they know a blacksmith, or Patroklos and Pyrrha go to meet "Neve", I'm sure they'll have Patroklos return to his original form. It took using Soul Calibur for him to obtain his weapon.

First off, excellent point, Pyrrus. I really hadn't stopped to consider that (derp, so obvious).

Not neccessarily. SCV ended on a battlefield. Loot a sword, profit.

So he should go FPS style and steal some dead soldier's weapon?

And as for the Krita-Yuga, couldn't it be a holy artifact by itself, and not having to hide in the Ling Sheng Su Temple? I guess it wouldn't since it was a holy artifact used to defeat Soul Edge.
Don't know really. SC masked itself as the Krita-Yuga for a very long time so whether there's a true holy sword out there isn't really known. I think SC was known as the holy sword since it was purified by the Zassy's tribe and the Dvapara Yuga as well as the Kali Yuga kept a hold on its powers, thereby forming the trio of holy item.

Soul Calibur pretended to be Patroklos's dead mom in order to get Patroklos to agree to kill his sister. Of course his mind was easily clouded and he didn't even stop to think, "hey my mom wants me to kill her daughter!". We could say that he was just so amazed to see his long lost mother and totally ignored what she said. But I decided to think about it a little bit deeper. What if Soul calibur actually clouds your mind from thinking straight? Soul Edge destroys the wielder's mind, what if Soul Calibur has a similar effect?

Nice observation Pyrrus. That's very similar to my line of thinking. For me, here's how Soul Edge and Soul Calibur manipulate its wielders.

Soul Edge----> Fears. The sword preys on the wielder's fears to manipulate them. Siegfried killed his father and from the immense guilt, he lied to himself and believed that his father's killer was out there. After obtaining Soul Edge, the sword fed into his fear by making the deal that if Sieg gave it more power, it would resurrect his father. If his father came back, his sin would be gone and everything will be well. He won't need to fear the haunting truth of the horrible murder he committed. Pyrrha was afraid of being alone and Soul Edge promised her it would stay with her forever if she gave it souls. But yes, in the end, it destroys the wielder's mind and makes them insane like you said ;D

Soul Calibur---->Lies of salvation. This is tricky since it's not very touched on. Pat wants to save his sister and SC seems to have twisted the words by saying that by giving his sister 'death', will she be saved and found peace. He himself is convinced he's saving her. :sc5pat1::Those who wield SE are enemy of mankind. I will save you and protect this world.
His mind isn't clouded really. SC just made him believe that he is saving Pyrrha and the world by killing her. For comparison, it's like Le Bello using his silver tongue to trick someone xD
Conclusion, she offers her wielders their 'wish' in a very twisted way and that's how she controls them.

Soul Calibur seems to be infatuated with the idea that death is salvation and continually calls herself the light of humanity or something. Where SE represents chaos, she represents order. True order is death, ironically. There's no lies, no anger, hate, wars, etc if everything in this world is dead. A world that's icy cold and devoid of life is her twisted idea of peace and salvation. The two sword's methods in the end is the same really, just lies.

So I guess the only pure artifact is Dvapara Yuga now, since SC isn't what it used to be.

Not sure about Krita Yuga because Kilik may or may not have purified it.

Darkwings post may be right.
Soul Calibur stands for the order so it represent itself in Ice Crystal, the fact in appearance is more delicate, the Temptress that lures with a sweet trap so the world become a static place like ice.
Soul Edge is the chaos the sword made of flesh that destroy ones soul and wants to engulf the word in madness and fire, so the world end in a last sacrificial ritual.
Both just oppose in methods but no in objectives, so the world be the way the wish.
"Stand aside or die like the rest" Nightmare to Elysium is rather less violent than her own words to him, "Perish cursed power."

Soul Calibur is just as evil as Soul Edge. Both swords can brainwash the wielder's will into doing their bidding. It's pretty much the concept of order and chaos. SC is pretty much on the lines of a Knights Templar trope while Soul Edge just want to see the world burn. If SC wasn't left in the void, it wouldn't be as corrupted as it is now. Since SC was the Krita Yuga in disguise, shouldn't the Ling Sheng Su Temple find out about this? Shouldn't they just made the sword like SC but without the corruption and with all mysticism and purification mannerisms like the Dvapara Yuga and the Kali Yuga?

Kilik killed everyone in the Ling Sheng-Su temple during his rampage when the Evil Seed event happened. Lol, Edgemaster, Kilik, Seong-Mina, Xiba and Xianghua's dad are the only ones who knows the fighting arts of the the temple or anything about it. And remember, SC was created from SE itself. It was merely purified but Algol's hate in the end prevent from being truly holy. It didn't matter if it was left in the void.

I don't know if the Dvapara-Yuga and Kali-Yuga was created by them. Perhaps those holy artifacts were found by them and guarded by them, nothing else. (Kali-Yuga just absorbs energy. Whether good or bad.) So I'm doubting the possibility they can create a holy Krita Yuga. Such powers shouldn't be crafted by human hands in the first place. SE started off as a normal sword that became evil as it killed and soaked in man's blood. For now, the most holy thing in the Soul Calibur universe seems to be the Dvapara-Yuga and Talim. Kilik has holy healing powers but he also has SE energy in his body.

Wasn't Omega and Digamma both holy and crafted by man with holy ore?
So I think is possible to make holy items if you are using the right material.

I am aware about that part but what I should've mentioned was before the events of the Evil Seed episode. So that's where the original source of SC's corruption came from, it was within Algol's hate. You also mentioned something about doubting the possibility of creating a holy Krita Yuga, which kinda rules out any chance of a holy sword being created unless it was created by shamans or holy warriors. Since the Dvapara Yuga isn't a weapon, and Talim isn't around, unless she returns. So, the only holy fighter we got left is Kilik but he has SE energy within him, so it's kinda dicey with trying to rid of the soul swords, and him trying to close the gates of Astral Chaos at the same time.

We have another holy fighter in this roster. Too bad she doesn't even know about it. She's too busy being hyped about how the outside looks.

If you are referring to Leixia... *shudders* I am loathed to believe SHE is the key to the universe existing until Tekken. I'd sooner bank on Mi-Na returning to the active roster.

You mean the one that ran away from her home twice when she was a teenager, only to be pawned twice and dragged back home?
If people can get over Seong Mina having Leixia's personality, then clearly they need to get over Leixia obtaining it.

Ah yes, thanks for the reminder Hikari. But if I remember, it was a pretty sad weapon. It cracked just from being near Raphael's evil town so I doubt its powers. Since the holy ore came from that idiot of a Greek god, Hephaestus, I'm very distrustful lol.

We sorta got the new hoooly warriors that Hephasteus sent for this generation. But I don't know how that will work out xD cough-Sophi and Aeon-cough.
I think the main thing to do is destroy Astral Chaos and Isle of the Blessed. It's the sword's home so if their world is destroyed, at least the cycle of rebirth and destruction by the two might cease.

Lol, while Leixia does posses the Dvpara-Yuga, we haven't seen her done anything with it besides wear it. So I'm not sure if she can be considered a holy warrior.

You mean Leixia? Well, she is on her way to finding Kilik isn't she? Maybe he can help her out with developing purifying abilities.

I believe in Cassandra case was because she was too blunt with her set, Sophitia was able to purify just fine, but I guess is just because she was you know not " Going all out. "
Interesting enough. In Soul Edge Official Handbook ~Chronicle~, Cassandra is revealed to be the reincarnation of the goddess Aphrodite and we all had the suspicious that Sophitia was Athena although....would make more sense if the goddesses should be exchanged.
