If there was a Soul Calibur VI, prequel/sequel/reboot/retcon?

I'd personally go for a prequel to V. I'm not saying that V was totally bad but I just would like to see from a story point of view all the events that lead up to where V is. This includes the relationship bertween Raphael and Amy that had her mysteriously vanish and how Raphael became the new Nightmare. Sophitia's fierce battle against Tira (I'm guessing she didn't go down without a fight), The whole Cassandra sent to Astral Chaos, Kilik and Xianghua's falling out, and how Cervantes became normal again.

The game felt like it had so many loose ends that just weren't explained enough so making VI a prequel to V would be pretty interesting to see how they answer and display these answers to the questions. Then after that, they can continue moving forward.

That can all be put into SC6 :p

They can have the story revolve around the characters from SC5 going back in time like in the story mode where Soul Calibur had the ability to go back in time and possibly alter some events around in SC4. It's far-fetched at best but if we want to see ALL the characters again (aside from a reboot or a retcon), then why not. I can imagine Patroklos and Pyrrha going back in time to save their mother and aunt, Xiba and Lexia meeting Kilik and Xianghua (and possibly Maxi), Natsu with Taki, and Viola & Z.W.E.I. learning about their possible origins.

You know what is really funny about Setsuka? Her largest amount of character development came from her teaching Patroklos her style of swordplay. It shows that she has learned to move on with her life and has given up revenge. Something she couldn't do in the time she was in the games. It's funny because she received all of that character development and she isn't even in the game anymore so it's as if it doesn't matter.

Or Get this..Just go with me for a second here... No. lol. If I have to fight one more sword/shield user I think I will die on the inside. Although maybe we could swap her for P? At least Cas was not whiny.

My thoughts exactly. With Pattycakes now using Iaido, there is now an opening for "rushdown S&S", which Cass used to fill. Pat keeps his character development, Pyrrha becomes a fusion of her regular and Omega styles and stays the "punishment S&S", and the fans get Cass back. Win/win/win.

Also, insert usual "we want Talim/Zas/Koreans"

Also Taki, Xianghua, and Rock/Bangoo. Still on the fence about Cassandra though but the whole S&S thing would be on overload with 3 being the maximum in my book.
SSF4: 5 shotaclones. "Everything's cool, guys."
T6/TTT2: Everyone's going Mishima. "It's all good, dude-bros."
SC5: 3 S&S. "Why?"

I seriously think we may have the smartest fanbase in the fighting game world. No sarcasm in this at all.

I see what you mean. Maybe it's because SC is set in a historical timeline (for history buffs), we learn more about our games' mythology more than any fighting game fanbase, we use more diverse weapon styles, ethnic groups, and we invest more into our characters and game like nobody else. We also don't have clone characters like in SF and MK. So yeah, we do have the smartest fanbase in the fighting game world.

If Setsuka can't be in SCVI then hopefully a Geisha (a Geisha would be cool to have honestly) will be the game using her style. Alpha Patroklos just doesn't really appeal to me that much.

If 5 becomes to Soul Calibur what 2 is to Devil May Cry, aPat won't be an issue. If we do continue from here, don't expect much... and don't expect anyone to really enjoy the notion of a Iaido-wielding Geisha walking in and taking the spotlight away from Setsuka (like Natsu/Taki, Pat/Cass, Pyrrha/Sophie, Xiba/Kilik, Leixia/Xianghua, and aPat/Setsuka), at least at first. Personally, I'd give a geisha character a naginata.

You have a point.

I was more in favor of the Geisha wielding Iado because I loved how they incorporated the umbrella with her weapon. I have never seen anything like that at the time so that's why it's very timeless and cool to me lol

Edit: Plus, I always wanted to color her umbrella weapons but you weren't able to at the time and now that they added the coloring weapon feature, the umbrella is gone lol

You have a point.
However.....a Geisha/Oiran replacement can still be in the game with a different weapon *cough*Tessen*cough*

There's Naginata too, but the playstyle and fighting style is what I hope differentiates from Xiba, which shouldn't be hard since most of his moves illustrate how primitive he is.

Exactly. In SC, I don't mind two of any weapon, but there has to be a difference in how they're used. I see the naginata being used for step-punishing, with elegant horizontal strikes as a focus for the moves. Essentially, Xiba becomes the new Mi-Na ('cause she's gone for good), and the newcomer taking the Kilik spot.
