just do what is probably gonna happen for SC2 HD. it's obviously has a good single player. and it's gonna be online as well. but we don't know how good it might be yet.

No certainly not, and thank you for not bashing the fact we even have a story focus unlike most people around here do... but yes, I don't understand why muliplayer wasnt included in this game. Namco seems to have started a habit of this: trading one thing for another aimelessly or making things we already should have DLC. I don't get the logic and have no answer. I mean wouldnt adding characters only naturally encourage people to play more multiplayer even more? If they wanted to make an SC game centered on CAS elements then it should just be about CAS exclusively. (TBH thats what this game should have been really. Im sure a lot of people wouldnt mind that mode's seperation away from the main titles for good reasons.)

No, the complaints people had were pretty valid this time, because SC has always had a strong single player with a deep story which itself had a huge following for. People get attached to the expectations they're used to. People want a good story and characters to obess over that make sense to them; they hated the new characters because of how badly their personalitites were written and the older iconic characters were thrown out for them. Who wouldn't be angry?

Why? With crapcom maybe but PS has never half-assed anything intentionally, ever... it WAS namco that skewed their time frame, butchered their original plan and priorities and cut their funding which made them rush the game, PS said this and even admit to regretting it. The only thing I knock them for was their attempt to sellout the series for SF fans. It was a bad gamble. If Namco put SC on the same level of hype and commercialization as Tekken they probably wouldn't have had to be jealous of SF4...

Yep I believe you're right, because on the soulcalibur website, Elysium, Pyrrha Omega, and Alpha Patroklos have been cut out of the SCV roster, as if they were never there. And it updated Patroklos and Pyrrha's profiles, now for Pyrrha it says that no one knew what had happened to Sophitia since SCIV.

I wonder why this happened, was it for the hate? Because Patroklos in general is hated by a lot of people... but too bad since Omega Pyrrha was the best one of the three. I think getting rid of her was way too hasty because her potential was seeded very deeply, I mean if she doesnt at least become a sub-antagonist as I'd like her to be; what was the point of everything Tira did? The new nightmare bores her... we currently don't have enough antagonists let alone independant villains to keep people busy clearly based on Leixia's view on life. If the evil sword has been scattered throughout the land then shouldn't more people be malfested?

Lol. There's enough malfested for Nightmare to raise a whole army and like 80% of the roster is infected. Though it's true that we're lacking in true villains. Cervantes, Tira and Nightmare/SE would be the obvious main ones.

Astaroth is more like a puppet monster that's being led by that cult/Kunpaeteku. Dampierre is one Dumas's side for the profit. Elysium/SC i would consider to be an antagonist on SE's level as they'll both destroy the world and she has a twisted sense of logic. Algol is trying to get back to rule the world. Raph is still obsessing over Amy but he also wants to reshape the world and rule it. Voldo is Dumas's guardian of the dungeon but it's not really his fault he thinks Dumas is his master and following him. And that's really it for the people that's considered to be on the 'bad' side.

If Cervantes was still undead like he should be, he could have been an adversary that could at least work as a frequently occuring threat for the new kids before they find out whats the root of his possession... him being human just has no rea purpose for anyone... Ivy still doesnt want him.

The Kunpaeteku needs to have more of a direct role in the new state of the post-SC4 plot. They need a priest like evil character to represent it and he needs to search for whatever it is to make Astraoth stronger. Put him/her into the games.

I think we need Zasalamel and Revenant back for antagonists simply because Zasalamel had started something that led to the events of SC5 but his story wasn't followed upon since his encounter with Talim before they were dropped.

The Fygul Cestemus cult and it's Grant Priest Kunpaetku are being proactive enough as antagonists. Kunpaetku made an Astaroth army with the help of the original Astaroth's core and can make as many replacements as he wants as long as he has it. Several of these copies were heading west because they sensed the presence of a notable soul. So once the roster figures it all out, Fygul Cestemus will have to be dismantled permanently at some point.

If they are as impacting as claimed then they need a representitive in the game to progress it, Astaroth is the product parallel to nightmare... tira is the administer of Soul Edge. The cult needs a character to represent their orders for Astaroth like Tira does for nightmare. They do have Asholette but she isnt considered canon...if she was it would be perfectly suitable, she is the mediator between Astaroth and the enemies but they need like an enforcer of their dark intentions and a larger influence in the story.

Actually, Ashlotte is cannon. She was the one who brought Astaroth's core back to the cult after the golem was defeated by Maxi in SCIV lol. Anyway, it was said that the cult is building up an army of monsters. During the long years, they were recovering their research and everything since the original Astaroth had destroyed the place. Right now, they sent the new Astas west for training and such. SCV story's was only 1/4 of what it was supposed to be so they might have had a bigger role??? But no one's sure.

There's a high probability they'll have a very major role in the next game for the story, with their sinister research and army. That's what I'm guessing.

I already said that they were going there because of a specific person who remains unnamed.

Kunpaetku is the cult's representative. He hasn't been seen for the entire series yet still made an impact. It only seems a bit insignificant because the story in 5 was lacking and because you haven't seen him.

From my perspective, the canon story is usually explained in the next game and what you see in the present is some general outlined plot to get you going. Then there is some left field stuff like Cassandra somehow being in Astral Chaos. I heard that from y'all, still don't understand how that happened.

I just remember from the SC artbook thread that they were heading west for training as one of the main reason. I do dimly recall that there was a specific reason why they went besides that. Probably because SE is awakening and Kunpaeteku wants it in his plan to become a god. He's completely ditched serving Ares, the god of War.

As for Cassy, she saw her sister in Ostrheinsburg castle all unconscious or something, and all of a sudden, a void opened up and sucked her into Astral Chaos. LOL now that was pretty random.

Ashalotte should be in the staple roster now then and not a special character... she can take over the SC3 lance moveset or Rock's. If she was the one to at least narrate this in her recurrence than it could work. She needs to be promoted into the main roster.

That will probably not happen due to legal issues. They had various artists draw her and the other three female guests specifically for for SCIV. She never appeared for Broken Destiny which was a SCIV port and it wasn't just to make room for Kratos and Dampierre.

Can't say that I blame him. The gods of the SC universe are pretty lame. They generally screw people over or are extremely unhelpful. Hephaestus only talked to Sophitia when HE wanted something, he can't help a sister out when her family is being torn apart by Tira and SE. Hephaestus also screwed over Aeon big time. Oh and if you look in the guide Pyrrha Omega is under the protection of Eumenides and by protection they must mean eating popcorn and watching that malfested girl shank that wolf guy with the hunchback.

Yep. Gods are pretty much assholes. Hephaestus didn't even help Aeon in his time of need.
