Valve recently announced that both the Survival mode and the two new versus campaigns will be available around springtime, and that it will be absolutely free. Which is a surprise, considering the blatant rip-offs that companies have been charging for incomplete games.

I feel like they deserve a hug or something.

I like how the L4D patch is FREE and has almost three times as much content as the other two packs.

There's a melee fatigue mechanic in play now in VS modes.

"If you guys tried it, you will see that after 5 swings, you have a cool down period of 1/2 a second for the 6th swing. Every other swing is then followed by a cooldown of 1 second."

ah, i got the achievement for killing all four members, in one life, with the tank. It was gratifying as I was the only one left on my team, and they were just about to escape.

Unfortunately the fatigue still doesn't discourage people from bunching up in a corner or closet and swinging away as long as they don't swing all at once.

But it's really fun now when you puke on someone and then you watch them swinging and swinging, and then the fatigue starts to kick in and your score starts ringing up. Much better then before when you puke on someone and they never fire a shot and never get hit. I really wish they'd make it some sort of visual indication that you're getting fatigued though.

Also fatigue will be in Survival mode when it's released. It's not in co-op though.

Yeah but it will make the wall of melee have many more gaps, and take a lot more cooperation to work properly.
