aB trades with the K and shuts down K BE. As does any i11 move.
 
After noticing how long its been since a Cervantes video was put up I figure i'd put it here too. This was originally put in the hate mail thread since others were telling me to post it. Although, I do regret it now because I don't like to hurt the self-esteem of others. But everyone has moved on already, I hope. Its a good example of the back step igdr which I've been practicing a lot lately. The idea is to use an attack like 66 k or A A from maximum distance, back step or side step then igdr. Back step and side step igdrs is amazing if you can execute it and have confidence in yourself. Alas, 1 A B jf eludes me this time.

That was completely solid all round, didn't do anything wrong except when you got the wallsplat off 3b I think 3A+B BBB would be best. I'm guessing you messed up igdr and got 1BB instead, I still think the damage might be better off 3A+B BBB, but can't remember (I suck at wall combos). Also who doesn't miss 1A:B online?

Messed up igdr. Usually my wall splat combos consist of 6 B BE > igdr > b2 (if wall splat) then igdr> igdr. But in this case I don't think I had meter so I just went for 6 B, and the 1 BB.

Yeah! Just let me find stronger players.... :p. Hey! I don't cheat! It took me this long since game release to be able to do igdrs that consistently!!! *waves fists*

Were you looking for advice on general gameplay or matchup stuff? Because there were loads of MU things you didn't do particularly against Maxi.
 
Well, I just barely had time for a few matches today after a month of being unable to play. Now, normally I'd put up a match against a strong/known player but I figured. Nah. I'll put up something that is quick and might just make some of you laugh. The goal was to make players who managed to beat inferno Cervantes through AI abuse, relive that terror once again.

Needs more iGDR
 
Here is some of my serious Cervantes game play. The player I'm playing against is none other than Signia, who ranked second at EVO (who easily overpowered many big names like Thermidor along the way. He has also defeated IRM and Jimbonator in the past). He knows the Cervantes match up extremely well. A few notes, 2A is the only thing you can do against Yoshi's IMCF zoning. Otherwise, Yoshi gets CH's every single time which leads to ring outs or death copter setups which you have to JG. Both players have to turtle in this matchup, or you're going to get wrecked.

It isn't but the weird delay, combined with the fact that he likes to randomly do IMCF, 9K and 6k for massive wall damage, 3kG and 2B makes you second guess yourself. Its easy to think that you can just aGI it on reaction, but when you play someone that isn't afraid to spam G2 4K B or 3K mix ups on you, you think more about not getting hit by that instead of paying attention to a move thats so easy to block.

It looked like at least two times in the video, I saw the green GI flash and Yoshi cut right through it with a trollface under his helmet. One was a Cervy :B+K: and the other was an actual Guard Impact.
