Soul Calibur 6 Discussion

They won't show or talk about SC6 before Tekken 7 console launch, it's just too obvious, but i've a good feeling it's happening, i just hope they finally learned thing from their last games and won''t duplicate same mistakes.

I just hope Tekken X Street Fighter won't handicap this game, i'm a huge Tekken fan and i love it too much, but i can't care enough about T X SF (just a little curious to see what pop from that project but that's it), even tho i'm gonna be already super busy with T7 when it launch (2 June), but i would like to hear something about a new Soul Calibur Game, E3 is gonna be almost a week after Tekken 7 Launch so maybe the first news here? seems little too soon tho, i would say at Max Max the SC6 announcement is gonna happen at TGS (around September).

It's already confirmed that some members of the Tekken Team will work on T7 season pass after T7 launch, i guess the rest of the team are gonna go help SC team for SC6 development. So finally the rise of 3D games in this new Gen Era. Anyway we'll see, but i have good feeling that it's happening.

Sry guys but Namco has extended and LONG Tekken 7 DLC-Plans which reach far into 2018(even with DLC-chars from other games). I do NOT see a next SC even in a year or so...

If a Soul Calibur game isn't at least announced by 2018 I guarantee it's never happening.

it's like mega man all over again. except without the unreleased games getting canned.

of course, the upside to following mega man's footsteps would be that the old games get released on VIRTUALLY EVERY GOD DAMN OUTLET!

*ahem.* of course, unlike with mega man, that would be a good thing, since soul calibur is just a good, underappreciated series.

whereas mega man games are so similar to each other that you can complete the first 6 nes games using the same input commands... look it up, it's been done... sadly...

anyway, we all know T7's gonna dissapoint, so why don't they just drop it and move on to SC6 already?

How and why would Tekken 7 disappoint?

lol don't mind cheddarsword. He's just bitter.
HOW DARE YOU! YOU PIECE OF yeah actually i am.

anyway, dissappointment is what fans get nowadays. either out of a game not meeting the hype that was built up for it, not meeting the expectations that the fans have set for it (however reasonable or not they may be), and sometimes the devs just do shit work. KOF14 anyone? or is vanilla SFV more your thing? or perhaps you have a taste for vanilla MVC3? lol! remember when they blamed the fans for having to release two versions of the game? LOL!

at any rate, i'm expecting high concentrations of salt.

and to be fair, though i hate to admit it, tekken is the "superior" of the two fighters. but i just can't get used to all the systems in it myself. i've always liked soul calibur, and i've even learned how to be a half decent player. to ignore the series that i've come to love in favor of a series that i just don't understand is like a gigantic "fuck you!" from namco.

i'm sure i'm not alone in feeling that way

Nioh turned out exactly what I was expecting it to be and I like it alot. But, I guess, you're talking only about fighting games or a new entries in a established series in a non-fighting games.
KOF14 anyone?
What is exactly wrong with KOFXIV?

Tekken 7 is amazing and definitely won't disappoint (except the people that already want to be so)

And Tekken 7 Season Pass won't hold nothing for a New Soul Calibur Game, once T7 will be out on console, would be just a matter of Months to hear something about the Next Soul Calibur Game.

Personally i'm more worry or more hopeful i would say, about the fact is gonna be great (and that they would finally learned some lessons from Past Soul Calibur Games, especially from this F2P Abomination) than the game itself not being announced, i've good feeling about this last point. Just one example: Why would they do a Poll about the game? And the recent activities of Soul Calibur Twitter account, as well as Bandai Namco account that also asked in Twitter just recently about whose you favorite SC Character. I mean why would they do all this if nothing is planning for a New SC. As opposite as Virtua Fighter, when you don't hear nothing about this franchise from Sega side. So yeah it's hard to say if a new Virtua Fighter is actually happening.

Soul Calibur V could have been a Legendary , i mean i still love the game but some choices for this game were not very good imo. I hope they won' repeat the same mistakes for a next SC Game.

it felt sterile somehow. like... it was stripped down. I don't know, there was just something missing. I mean, you don't exactly hear much about it post release, do you? it came out, and that was it. also, 13 was just better. each version of a game is supposed to be better than the last, or at least just as good. it felt worse. not "bad" per se, just worse than the last entry. and that's setting the horrific models aside.

and yeah, you mostly nailed what I meant. though i'll be fair about it. there's always the chance that soul caliber 6 will suck.

here, I think you need a few things.
some of these: ........
a few of these: ,,,,,,,,
couple of these: !!
put those in the proper places and your sentences won't make my head hurt. 'cuz right now, it doesn't feel very good to begin with, and having to read through... that, didn't help.

and let's be honest. you can please some of the people all of the time, and you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time. tekken 7 will disappoint. it's not a question of if, only how many.

frankly, I think it'll be largely hated on. shall we make bets?
