Xianghua was widely considered the best in SC2 and SC3.
Hilde and Algol were good enough in SC4 to be banned, but Ivy was also really stupid as well. Lots of characters were really bad in that game, but some of the worst were Yoda, Maxi, Rock, and Yun.
Viola is undoubtedly the best in SC5, with aPat being pretty dumb as well. Greeks in general are very strong in that game. ZWEI, Dampierre, and Devil Jin are really trash.
Can't speak for any of the other games.
 
If it gets announced at Game Awards then I hope the wait for the 15th is filled with hints and leaks and teases to hold us over.

Man, I was so young and naive when IV released. I never thought it was suspect of them to introduce the armor destruction feature in the same game as that Ivy outfit.

I imagine they went with the explosion route in SCV (and for CAS in SCIV) because tailoring each equippable armor piece to have a destroyed form (including physics objects that fall on the stage) would be a lot of extra work.

Some of the damage points were kinda messed up. I remember in IV (and maybe V as well?) you would actually sever Aeon's tail if you broke the low part of his armor. It happened once in an online match, and my opponent actually sent me an apology afterward. Good times.

Soulcalibur.com "should" be back up online in connection with the possible teaser
 
Just a matter of hours to go until our first chance to see the potential reveal. Here's hoping we get even just a teaser tonight.

You mean with fans asking about Soul Calibur? i've see them reply to Naruto, Tales Of or some anime fans, but Soul Calibur fans i don't know. If so that's great.

The crazy thing is that TR2 was out just in 2015 on Xbox, and 2016 in PS4. And they're acting like "Ohhh sorry our fans we know it's been a while you didn't get any news about Tomb Raider" lol. Soul Calibur V was out in 2012, and some very beloved characters weren't even in.

Or unless Namco is counting LS and Pachinko as real games? if that's the case, huh...

But yeah i didn't want to downfall this, SC6 should be announce soon, so it's all great and i'm all over excited, i just hope that Namco will improve their skills in communicating with their fans in the near future.

You played against someone online who sent you an... apology!? Whenever I hear someone talk to me in an online game it's usually nothing but insults containing an unholy amount of swear words.
 
So what do you guys think the story is so far? With the revelation the Kilik is the main character of SCVI, and Xianghua is in the game, both in the place of their successors, I can imagine there being some kind of time travel deal going on (especially with his relationship to Edge Master, who can manipulate time apparently). Maybe there will be some Astral Chaos deal where Kilik tries to set right what once went wrong. Makes sense.
