Who else here hates Thanksgiving?

dude a few years back i had like 75 people over and cooked a couple turkeys and brought in two kegs. in my dorm room. i got kicked out of on-campus living the next morning.

really it is a good excuse to get fucked up with all the younger cousins and nobody in the family seems to care.

i like it.

Drinking with family members is a big no-no in my book. It leads to...terrible things...<.<;;

haha suckers.

i'm at home with my wife, and no family. laying in bed at 5 o clock playing WoW, while she makes me chicken and mashed potatoes...so i can eat in bed.

other than being sick this is the best thanksgiving ever.

Wait..did he just say he was at home with his wife, but not family? I thought a wife was part of your family, lol.

Fortunately for me, I lucked out as well though. I didn't get a call for a family gathering, so I just stayed home and ate pizza while playing some SCIV, then Valkyria Chronicles. I hope next year's Thanksgiving is just as awesome :P

Couldn't find that Eagles game anywhere on TV, maybe if I had they would have lost, CHUCK THE LANDSLIDE.

P.S. G-Men rape u.

P.P.S. Brandon Jacobs = Asta 66[K]

Not me.

Thanksgiving means good foods like munchies, lasagnas, grilled stuff, meat with raisins and pinneaple, rice with parmesan cheese mixture and turkey. Too good!!! It also means good movies with family members and water sports/fun.

Oh, and poker, can't forget poker.

What's not to love?

Dude, Thanksgiving is awesome. My family is full of excellent cooks and I actually enjoy spending time visiting. My enjoyment has increased greatly since I've gotten older and moved out of my house... Might I suggest trying that next year?

im a big "bah-humbug" for thanxgiving and x-mas!! I have no family to cook for me, so me my wife went to our local casino and ate at the buffet. I hate almost everyfood there is for thnxgiving, except for the cranberry sauce that someone else mentioned. I do love ham though. I couldnt see spending bout $100 on food that I dont really like. and i dont do leftovers at all so that would be a waste of money.

Some people dont like being around their family for extened periods of time. It happens to everyone, but people like to exaggerate.

That's pretty much how I am. I don't mind being around my parents, but once you get them, along with a bunch of distant relatives that I don't even know, in one place all day, it gets very annoying.

I'm with you there. Thanksgiving has been way more entertaining ever since I started going to college. All my cousins and my brother and sister are between 18 - 22 so we rarely ever see each other and have a lot of stories to tell about college. It's a good time.

Last night I had some nice wine and champagne, also threw back a couple of beers. What's bad about drinking with your family?

Another good strategy, not for you in particular. Get pregnant @_@.

That's what my cousin did this year. She didn't have to celebrate with us.

But that would be even worse!

You'd have to take care of a snot-nosed brat for 18 years, and not to mention the mother would have to endure the excruciating pain of child birth! O_O

I'd much rather be forced to be around my family for a day, than something like that. <_<

I like Thanksgiving. I make sure I hang out with the few people who I don't hate and mutually feel the same way. If only they had a word for that.

I gotta say thanksgiving isn't that bad at all. I can definitely see what you all are saying about being forced to spend time with family, but i just don't have that problem since i moved away. I pretty much don't go visit family on holidays anymore, too much bullshit. My mother and father still try to bug me about coming over while using that guilt-trip-shit about how "they never see me anymore". All i say is, "if you want to see me, come to my house". Which of course is always out of the question. Imagine that! So i just lay back, relax and enjoy it by myself. If i were some of you, i would just show up for food then leave shortly afterwards. Sooner or later, they'll get the hint and not bother you anymore.

The four pounds I gained over this weekend should represent my love for this particular holiday (my Mom has turkey down to a science and makes her pecan and pumpkin pies from scratch - crust and all). Sorry all you emo bastards hate your families that can't cook.

Jeez. FINALLY, someone who agrees with me.
