I think those 3 characters will be Edgy (already teased), Kilik (as they are rivals) and Xiang (as she is related to Kilik).
This would make sense.
If it will be not by relevance, then I expect Edgy (again, because he is already confirmed), Nightmare or Seigfried and Taki.
 
I suspect PS has gone silent because of the SFAE and DBZ tsunamis. Evo Japan should be the right moment, hope they'll deliver on it.
 
Sounds fair. SCV's issues partially came from TTT2 development occuring at around the same time if I'm not mistaken. SFV is an endless WIP, MvCI and T7 are a mess, and DBFZ is the next major fighting release.

This better not follow suit.

How would Sophitia gain time travel powers? Her only supernatural power comes from Hephaestus, and he's just some asshole who definitely doesn't have time powers.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but if the game is a total, from-the-ground-up reboot, calling it "SoulCalibur VI" was a really stupid idea.

In the original timeline Sophitia was able to have visions of Nightmare.
 
They're likely inferring the imagery from the announcement trailer as a confirmation that Sophitia has the ability to be sent memories from the future like Raiden was in the Mortal Kombat reboot. It could be, but we don't have enough information to really tell. Cassandra was chilling with Edge Master in the Astral Chaos, though, so maybe she's the one that sent the message to the past. But I agree that a straight reboot is a terrible idea if they're calling it SoulCalibur VI. There's likely some kind of other methods afoot than just a straight reboot.
 
any time travel bullshit excuse is fine with me as long as we get a good roster. I just want a good fighting game, never cared or followed the story in any game.

I dunno if "holes" is the right way to put it. Patroklos/Pyrrha story was completed, but we had other stories we needed to get to, like Maxi and the three kids' journey and Xiba meeting Kilik, Raphael/Z.W.E.I./Viola meetup and aftermath, and where Hilde, Mitsurugi, Yoshimitsu, Aeon, and Cervantes fit into things. Perhaps a bit more with Edge Master as well, with or without Algol.

It really does feel like that though :S It's one thing to not give us anything new, but to keep reposting the same stuff and making it sound like we're actually gonna be hyped by it is just kinda weird. I dunno what they're thinking or why they're being so stingy with information. Hopefully they'll make up for it at Evo.

Personally I feel my overall hype dying a little. I'm still hungry for new stuff and can't wait for the game itself but I'm slipping into a numb state of "oh yeah, it IS being developed isn't it?" like I have to remind myself, lol. I check here a few times a day for new stuff but other than that there's nothing to really do.

I got tempted to go back to playing SCV but my PS3 wouldn't connect to the TV so had to order a new cable. I think it's a sign that I should stay away from that game. I'm sure in time I'll regret ignoring said sign, lol.

How is it that they haven't even been smart enough to put out concept art for Sophitia and Mitsurugi? I'm more than sure there has to be some. There always are for this series that they put out when or after the game releases.
That would at least be a smart and interesting conversation engager to hold people over.
If we're going to ask them for anything realistically during a dry spell, that should be what we ask of them, and they deliver with while we wait between announcements.

Im not going to lie i did see a who is sophitia and who is Mithsu art work cards going around but it just wasent enough to quench the thirst if you know what i mean.. and i most definitely think that the story will revolve around visions wether it being from sophis point of view or others but that route solidifies somewhat of the others return one way or another.
