Wouldn't it be cool if Soulcalibur had an "injustice 2" approach to characters with the same (or very similar) fighting styles?

For those who don't know, in Injustice 2 characters that would have the same fighting style as others already present in the game get added as "second outfits" to these characters, for example: Power Girl is a "second outfit" to Super Girl with the difference that she looks and talks like Power Girl and some moves look different.

This way they could add more characters, like Natsu as "second outfit" to Taki or Yun Seong as Hwang, so the moveset remains the same but the character is different.

Hmm, I'd take it. It's definitely better than not having the characters at all ^_^

I can't wait for Evo. I'm so stinkin' excited for the reveals. If they stream the tournament and the reveals, I'll definitely be watching.

Finally got my PS3 fixed up so I can play Soulcalibur V and boy was I rusty. I think all the streams I've been watching through here have actually made me better though. My movement and spacing (which was virtually non-existent) is now much better and some lucky and well-timed side-steps, crouches and jumps has saved my ass a few times (but sometimes has also cost me, so y'know, double-edged sword). Gonna keep at it so that I'm at my best when SCVI comes out.

I too expect a release closer to Christmas but I hope they'll surprise us early.

That would work for some characters but not for others unfortunately... Though that might be a solution!

Just curious, why do you hate Natsu so much, that her return, of all things that could go wrong, would kill all your hype?
@Spartan_Avenger

I was being a tad over-dramatic, but I don't want Natsu in this game. Especially if it means her replacing Taki again.

Natsu is/was a terrible, terrible replacement for Taki (as were almost all of the SCV replacements).

I feel like people probably would've quite liked Natsu if we actually got to know anything about her. Her being Leixia's responsible bodyguard would've made for a good character I think if they didn't have so much time constraints resulting in most of the story (and hence pretty much everything about her and everyone else new besides Pat and Pyrrha) being cut out.

I like that they borrowed the whole 'demon sealed inside her' thing from Naruto. It's interesting, but doesn't appear to really impact her as a character (though perhaps that would've been in the story) or even her moveset aside from her Critical Edge maybe. I feel if they bring her back, they need to explore that story a little and make it actually feel a part of her (including her moveset).

I don't mind if they bring her back, but not at the cost of Taki (who I don't really care for but I still feel is more important to include as a major character). Either they need to be separate characters, have Natsu as DLC, or do what UUGUI suggested and have her as an alternate costume/voice.

The thing that bothered me the most about her was that she acted like a typical American teenager for the most part and even though the rest of the cast aren't exactly historically accurate in their speech, it was far more noticeable with her and was a little jarring to listen to. I hated fighting her because of her irritatingly cocky attitude on top of her annoying AI, lol.
