it appears that groh has a blades separate stance from which he has a few options, like taki's possession rather than ivy's whip/sword stances. The two options I've noticed are a low multi-hitting spin attack and a mid-horizontal that leads to a short cutscene.

I wonder if the recolors they're using as placeholders for the 2P costumes (assuming they're still making those for this game hopefully) are indicators of what their alternate costumes are going to look like. I noticed that Xianghua's recolor is one of her signature black/white color schemes, while Groh has a very intriguing white and gold color scheme for his palette swap.

Since Grou and Kilik are rivals and placed opposite of each other, here are my educated guesses for the roster atm:

Ivy / Mitsurugi / Cassandra / Taki / Cervantes

Still thought we'd see a few more slots, but it seems you can align them with their major foes for the most part.

And what's with the Reversal Edge music?

One way to convince myself of 2P costumes would be that the weapons didn't even change color for the recolors.

Groh's idle stance is very reminiscent of Z.W.E.I. (hulking posture and whatever), and I wanna say that his powers do stem from Soul Edge because he keeps saying something that sounds like "demonay malfes" during his CE, and from the video I'm not quite sure if he only says it to Sophitia, but he ends his CE by saying "curse your weakness" and "atone for the sins of your weakness". Said "weakness" I'm assuming is Sophitia being tainted by Soul Edge.

I actually prefer Grøh's recolor to his default. It makes him seem a touch less edgy and a bit more regal. He looks like a lot of fun to play as, honestly. I also prefer Xianghua's recolor as well. I've always liked her black and white outfits.

Anybody else think groh might be related to ivy(an in essence cervy)? I mean he has the same simi pirate vibe as ivy(pseudo eye patch, fancy cloathes, his arm gauntlet though his look more like possible malfestion, he is "bad" but doesnt seem evil)?

Also the irony of nightmate becoming the white knight as his alternate color(the color is dope though). I wonder if his damage will stack? Since he has a boost state(sc4 explode) and SC if so, he is going be scary.

I hope they lower invincibility or add start up the supers. I hate nike supers(just do it). Especially with free 2 bars to the losers.

I prefer the recolour too. I normally like dark edgy shit but his default just looks too plain. His gameplay though, I was right that he'd probably be my style. He looks hella fun and will definitely be my second main if Amy doesn't make it in.

I'm just glad to see Kilik being Kilik. At least I know without a shadow of a doubt that one of my mains is in and I'll actually be able to "FIGHT PROPERLY!"

You're probably right and it breaks my heart. Hopefully DLC costumes are less than $5.

I would be VERY pissed off if they don't give us alternate costumes. The only reason I can think of that they might do that is because we can create our own alternate costumes in CAS. I assume it's just placeholders though. I certainly hope so. I do wonder if maybe each costume will have two colours though (so two players could play the same costume if they wanted) as it seems a shame to waste the colours they have now (and I'd hate to lose Groh's awesome white one).

I don't think so, intricate 2P is a trade mark of Soul Calibur. Also Tekken doesn't got them, because Tekken's customization is different from Calibur's it is more like making alternate costumes with exclusive items to each character.

The implication that alternate colors replace 2p is kind of silly, because it implies that we won't be able to do our own recolors.

Again the weapons should change color too in the alternate colors.

I was reminded of something I've missed in SC since SCIII: weapon select. I hate that in order to use certain weapons, you have to waste a CAS slot just to select it. I'd love to see 'select a weapon' return to the character select screen.
