Aval is too close to Oval, which could be reference to the Round Table...
Also, I'm a bit salty Mitsu and Sophie didn't get a quick backstory and cool titles. Tho knowing PS they would just call them "Blade Master" and "Holy Sword of Gloom" again.
And Grøh's O is slashed, like a round table cut into two, so half of the knights are evil and the other half is good (or pursuing the good sword and the bad sword), so I guess that

Has anyone else noticed the way Xianghua's sword vibrates in her idle stances (character select screen and victory poses) as if it's made out of rubber? Look at the tip. Dunno why that makes me laugh a lot XD
I thought Ivy reveal for a second too, lol. I love the little additions of character specific dialogue in-battle. The more the merrier.
The more I see of Kilik, the happier I am to have my main back and better than ever. I'm not thrilled with Groh's design but his fighting style is gonna be a lot of fun. The game overall looks super fun to play. All I need now is for Amy to be revealed.
Well, actually, fanboying aside, there's more than that. Lots of great Single Player modes, good CAS, alternate costumes etc. are all things I'll need to see before I say the game's good, but it's certainly looking in the right direction so far.
With the whole Nightmare/Siegfried fiasco, I'm on the fence. On the one hand, it makes sense to only have Nightmare, and seeing Sieg under the armor is badass as hell, but I think they're too iconic separately to not have both in at once and, as has been proven, Sieg is too popular to leave out.
Do you think the execution is still the same or is it easier?Kilik have Asura but no Auto GI anymore, and the move seems to come up from a stance.
Sieg / no sieg controversy aside I'm personally more interested in hearing the opinion of competent players about the gameplay (expecially RE). What says you @Kayane?
Someone didn't get the kappa feeling of our posts ^^Aval and Oval aren't quite references to Arthurian legends.
As people have said in earlier posts, Aerondight, or Arondight is the name of Lancelot's sword. Ironically, Lance is also known in some tales as the Black Knight.

The slashed O is actually better known as the "Dark O" which means a different pronunciation is required. There's a similar letter slashing in the Slashed L, which is better known as the "Dark L" and sounds like a "W" sound.
Xianghua's sword has always had a vibration in every SC game, it's actually reflective of real-life Jian swords in that they have a slight vibration or rubberiness to them.
Siegfried and Nightmare have always been the same person until later games when Nightmare manifested as the Soul Edge persona. While the original Soul Calibur did have a seperate character slot for Siegfried, we are looking at a brand new game where development time and character slots are at a premium. They can't include everyone, and anyone who gets in means that a new character or returning character is sacrificed for them.
Keep in mind that SC4 had a dearth of new characters. Only two in the original release. And SC5's limited development time gave us a lot of returning styles, not too many new ones, and an anemic story mode. Not to mention the fact that of the new styles both suffered from being too weak and and too strong.

Fine, but here's something that you might as well kappa, but it's actually true.Someone didn't get the kappa feeling of our posts ^^

In this particular instance the wiggling of the tip of the blade looks like a graphical glitch more than intentional flexibility of the Jian sword. I don't know if it is because of the way the lighting interacts with the weapon but it looks like an eyesore to me.Xianghua's sword has always had a vibration in every SC game, it's actually reflective of real-life Jian swords in that they have a slight vibration or rubberiness to them.
Actually ø is close to the German ö, which is quite different from the /eɪ/ sound in "grail" :/Fine, but here's something that you might as well kappa, but it's actually true.
Grøh should be pronounced to sound a little like "Grail", but not necessarily means it. =)
Grail in nordic would probably be closer to grejl.Actually ø is close to the German ö, which is quite different from the /eɪ/ sound in "grail" :/
Hey guys, I'm new here so sorry if this is the wrong topic. I'm a huge Siegfried fan and I've played as him in every game since the start so I really, really hope he's in Soul Calibur 6. That being said, I recently saw the image of Nightmare with his armour broken off to reveal Siegfried is Nightmare once again, which I think is really cool, but now I can't help but be worried that my main and favourite character in the entire series might not make it in. So, for those in the know or who have a better understanding of things than myself I have one question: What are Siegfried's chances of being in this game and does Siegfried being Nightmare once again deconfirm him? I've been worrying about this a lot since I saw the image and would really appreciate an answer. Thanks in advance!
