Why are they too much with the "Reserve your copy now!"? Especially since there is no release date yet + they didn't even show 10 % of the game's content so far. I dunno the whole thing feels weird to me tbh. But whatever it don't matter much, what matter is that the game looks amazing and i can't wait.

I’m getting it day one anyways so I’m going to preorder it, but how about show the special editions or day one bonuses or any content of the game itself before trying to get people to preorder it first? Not that I like preorder bonuses anyways, but as of right now they’re basically asking people to prematurely buy 8 characters and 3 stages, and a mystery box of everything else.

They did the same thing with Dragon Ball Fighters. It means nothing other than they want your money.

Many people will pre-order it regardless, for reviews, for the very fact that its Soul Calibur, or because what they saw on trailers was enough to convince them.

Whats up with this?? Is this damage control or what? I told them im like fine hes making stuff up if thats what you say but eighter hes extremley lucky so far or hes a physic
That could definitely be an attempt at damage control. At least Harada finally got some luck with Tekken 7's DLC characters. Tekken series has had a ton of leaks with the last few games.

Grøh showcase:

As someone who lives in Norway this is so hilarious to watch.

"The reason we chose Norway in particular is that Grøh's appearance facial features, overall atmosphere, and more than anything his cool demeanor perfectly aligns with the impressions that Northern Europe gives off. Though it could just simply be that this is how the region is portrayed in Japan."

Now I'm curious to see what kind of media Japan has which informs them of how Scandinavian culture is like.

Huh....kind of an odd decision.
Also, I'm still so bothered by how bland these showcases are. You'd think they'd tell us something you can't infer just by looking at the characters. At least at this point we know not to expect much from these videos. Hopefully they get better. I doubt it though.

The message in the medium is "Grøh is a Japanese interpretation of what we think Scandinavian imagery and.... vikings probably were and stuff."

As for the response coming from Bandai Namco.... I already touched on this earlier, but I'll just tell you right now that it is most certainly damage control as even I was told to be a bit more vague since some people could be implicated and get in trouble because things were accidentally not cleared before I was told to share things most recently. The last thing I want is for people to get fired because of oversights.

And telling people to pre-order a game with only 8 characters formally announced, no idea what else the game truly offers in way of modes for sure, and not even having a release date or any kind of special editions is a sign of the times. They just want your doubloons.
I feel like they're pushing that so hard already because they're looking at the situation of the mind like
"You generally know who's coming thanks to leaks. Please secure you giving us money--I mean your copy today! :D "
They're drastically overlooking people need proof and assurance that the game is what they're hoping and expecting it is.
Looking before you leap is something consumers are doing less and less of nowadays.
