I’m hoping they still reveal actual characters on the 22nd or 29th. I feel like they decided to reveal this because of all the rumors and that’s why it looks a bit rushed.
 
So in-engine cutscenes confirmed, I guess? The first half of that trailer could not have been actual gameplay. I wonder if this is a hint at story mode being like the Mishima Bloodline thing in Tekken 7.

Don't really know anything about this character so eh, I can only say that he has no visual impact on me. If you wanted him good for you I guess.
 
I think the character as a whole is very dry and basic. The design looks like an extra that would be in the back of a stage, but I understand that's what the character is. Wont be playing him but at least he fits.

Cant win em all I guess.

Rein from Overwatch with that gigantic hammer would have been godlike. But whatevs.

The Witcher is a low-fantasy series. Of course he looks "dull" next to the resplendent cast of a game like Soul Calibur. That's the whole point of low fantasy.

Of course, you'd rather see the big lumbering idiot with stupid armor and a giant hammer in the game.
 
As opposed to a boring middle aged medieval white dude in chain mail?

Also hes a guest character in Soul Calibur, so its irrelevant that his art direction is different that's exactly my point, Soul Calibur isn't "low-fantasy" so he looks inferior to everyone else.

I don't even know why I'm dignifying this with a reply at this point considering you know nothing about Overwatch if you are implying that hes a bad fit because he's a "big idiot" lol..every character in the overwatch universe is highly skilled and socially revered. He's smarter than Astaroth and Rock, that's for sure.

Geralt looks washed out compared to the main cast of characters, he just needs to have some saturation to him and his stage to fix this.

Which is really interesting to think about because the game he comes from is saturated and vibrant half the time (when it’s not raining and cloudy at least).
 
Its really fun to read all the dissapointing rants in the witcher 3 official twitter, like if they didnt hint it was going to be about Geralt in another game, people were expecting witcher 4 or something like that.
 
I think that Geralt of Rivia is the most suitable guest character for Soul Calibur VI! I'm so excited with his reveal! I want this game so much, I hope that the release date it's really close!
P.S. This artwork is amazing... Maybe is the game's boxart? What do you think guys?
