That's an outfit that's been in previous games, it's also a store specific bonus. Other store specific bonuses range from a custom PS4 theme or a Sophitia wallscroll or a School Swimsuit outfit, depending on which retailer you buy it from in Japan.

The worst part is that I’m sure these were already DLC.

The posing in the background leaves me to assume that CaS will let you view them in the in-game stages. Perhaps to test lighting?
 
Seeing all those kind of suimwears already make me bored tbh

Why can't Sophitia just got those costumes for example instead:

Not the end of the world since i can still do with Default + Colors, and maybe even CaS if this mode will be well designed with good stuffs on it.

Well, poo.

This game is re-writing the entire storyline and if my dates are correct, this is starting at the middle of Soul Edge with Groh.

But this is where things get tricky...

It doesn't look like Mitsurugi even begins searching for the sword until 1586, after Nightmare is destroyed. And Nightmare himself gets three years of terror instead of two like in the original Soul Calibur story.

But then there's also the Main Story timeline which seems to indicate major events happening regardless of each character's notable movements.

The banner is also blocking probably 3 character names and their notable points.

From what I can tell, it's either Tira or Talim beneath Groh, since that point begins the Evil Seed Disaster with the breakage of the shards.

Cervantes looks to be beneath Ivy.

Tira (or Talim) beneath Sophitia.

Others are too hard to tell, but I would assume Astaroth is the second blank beneath Ivy, and Voldo just above Nightmare.

The game still ends at 1590, which is where Soul Calibur 2 begins.
 
We can, at the very least, speculate that the first DLC character will be available at launch, probably the season pass bonus.

Then the release order after that will be character, parts, character, parts, character. Which makes sense, really.

Sigh. Bandai Namco/Project Soul you never learn.

Anyway regarding the DLC characters do you think they will be an extra addition to the select screen we have now or will it be like the case of V's where if you didn't get Dampierre there would always be a blank character slot until you got him? If so that would suck. I really hope we have 23 characters in the disc and 3(4?) additional characters for DLC.

From what I'm seeing, it appears that 20 characters will be involved in story mode. Yoshimitsu is one of the characters that are blocked behind the Kilik bookmark so that leaves 8 characters to be involved in the story. I'm sure Talim is also hidden underneath that bookmark since none of the times make sense for the censored name. Using Times New Roman and comparing the length of the censored blocks while also accounting for what could make sense in the timeline, I'm thinking:

This is my best guess for who will be featured in the story mode. Raphael definitely should be featured in the story. As for Talim, I'm guessing she wil be in due to popularity but I'm thinking that that story slot could go to somebody else like Hwang or Tira if they make it into the game.
