What kind of characters would you like to see in future SC games?

Do you want to see Ashlotte in Soul Calibur six?

It would be interesting to see what kind of moveset she'd get if she were to be added to the main roster. Her artwork makes her look particularly graceful, which is what I expected of her fighting style before finding out she was an Astaroth clone, so I was fairly disappointed.
Yeah, that weapon was very interesting, it could have been it's own style. At least it gave her the force? But I feel like she could really get a cool style. The more I think about it, the more I want Ashlotte in the game. Plus she gets her own cosplays! I haven't even seen a Kami cosplay, or angol fear, or anyone for that matter. Probably at least ONE shura out there though.

I doubt Ashlotte returning to SC6 is going to happen honestly.
I suppose, but if i'm being completely honest, she's my favourite character. I can try to get my input heard but that's not going to happen in all probability. Other than that all I can do is sacrifice souls to soul edge and hope she gets in. It'd just be nice to see her in the game tbf. If she was to be in the game, as much as i'd like to see her playable, she'd probs just be a background character you see in a fygul cemestus stage. Guess I'll pray to inferno for her return lol. Doesn't mean i'm giving up hope though, hopefully my petition will work.

Never fall in love with a fighting game character until they have been in three straight games. Maybe not even then.
some things just can't be helped... T_T
oh well, at least I've still got Mitsu, X and Taki. And Leixia, Natsu, Nighty. eh, i'm fine. I'm really not, but I'll suck it up

You greatly underestimate how popular she is. She may not reach the heights that someone like Sophitia would, of course not, she is a bonus character in one game, but she is incredibly popular for such a small status. That means that, if Namco invests well on her, she can easily grow in popularity. With a retelling of the story happening in SC6, her chances were also further increased, because she is one of the two bonus characters from SC4 who actually are involved in the plot (the other one being Shura), and the only one to affect the plot relatively meaningful way (recovering Astaroth's core to help Fygul Cestemus create the Astaroth from SC5). And before anyone brings the "third-party artist" argument, remember that such problem can be solved with a simple "Hey dude, you know that character you made? We'll give you money if you let us put her in the next game", there, problem solved.

How is Shura any more involved in the plot than Kamikirimusi, Scheherazade, and Angol Fear? All five of the girls are on the relationship chart, and really, the only reason that Ashlotte is given any particular merit is that it was written that she recovered Astaroth's core, without which Astaroth wouldn't exist, so that makes her "canon", but though they didn't have direct actions like this, the other four girls are also technically involved in the plot.

Does Namco even have the rights to her design? I feel like it could be a situation like Skullomania and Street Fighter, where the developer simply doesn't own the character.

Angol Fear, Scheherazade and Kamikirimusi are not related to any characters from the series, they simply appear and vanish. Shura is known to have been watched by Toki, Taki's former master, which means she is connected to someone in the actual lore of the series.

With the exception of Angol Fear, who belongs to a manga series, the other Bonus Characters from SC4 belong to guest artists, which means they're definitely not in the same situation as Skullomania or any other characters introduced in the Street Fighter EX series, as those characters belong to another company: Arika. Making a deal with an artist for his character is much simpler than making a deal with a company.

And Kamikirimusi bumped into Algol and they walked off into the sunset together. I don't recall what happened in Scheherazade and Angol Fear stories because I wasn't particularly a fan of them, but did enjoy Kamikirimusi as a character and her story, so I'm just saying that classifying any of the five girls as canon can easily be done. I'm sure there's something for the other two.

None of the endings in SC4 are canon. Shura being watched by Toki happens before (way before, I'd say), its part of the backstory and canon.
