Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

Grøh is wonderful and y’all just hatin smh. He’s probably the most qualified introduction of a new fighting style to the series since Hilde because he’s nowhere near as outlandish as Z.W.E.I. or Viola.

Honestly I hate this DBZ route they’re taking. All these powers and magic are too much. I liked sc 2 and 3 because they were subtle with the magic. Now it looks like each characters got magical power.

Oh yah, because a holy warrior who's strength is connected to her faith, a ninja who could explode a castle, a pirate with a soul eating blade, a aristocrat with a living snake sword, a priestess with wind power, a vampire, no less than 2 sacred treasure to ward of evil energy, another holy warrior with evil warding powers, a immortal necromancer and hexer and a living suit of armor were not magical enough, we drawn the line with teleport.

One day I hope he gets in. Already got his soul charge semi planned out.

Guts Soul Charge: Insane damage, armored moves and some healing attributes. Though he would probably stay in berserk mode until the end of the round.

You know, if they really are crazy enough to cut Raph, there is another character in this manga whose fighting style is similar enough to replace him...

... people would lose their shit if we got him instead of Guts though. Would be hysterical.

For Groh I think he is fine. He's just ahead of his time when it comes to fashion. His look and armor i believe is inspired from the Victorian era. the picture below is more or less the same idea and look groh has.

Yeah but that was rarely seen in gameplay until 4 and after. I mean 2 and 3 barely had any magical elements during gameplay.

Lol forgot him. Maybe it’s just the aftertaste from SCV cuz Viola and them kinda ruined it for me. I wasn’t prepared for all that magical stuff but whatever.

Yeah, after all, its totally not like we're in a fantasy world where the story revolves around two soul-devouring swords, right? Magic is totally out of place. Ivy is one of, if not THE most iconic character of the franchise and she is a witch, but magic is totally out of place. Sophitia always followed the will of the gods and her strenght was given by them. No magic there. Lizardman? Who also happened to be a human before? Where can magic be seen in that situation? A ghostly pirate that cannot rest because of his obsession for one of the swords and fights post death? But magic is definitely too much. Nice logic +1.
