No, I did pay attention, I just chose to not address that part. They can also pull from less popular characters or other non-marvel superheroes. It was just one idea.

My point stands. I don't want this developer thinking we're a bunch of suckers who will gladly buy fragments of nostalgia from them so they have to do minimal effort of our money.

I think they will see that in their base game sales. If the base roster is too small, smart enough consumers will not buy base or reviewers/popular youtubers will be upset and spread word. But honestly there isn't a ton of difference between 20 vs. 25 characters in the base roster to a casual consumer... maybe 20 vs. 30, but not 20 vs. 25. Bamco might be banking on CAS to help pull them through a lower roster count.
 
So currently there's NOTHING on the Season Pass that can't be purchased separately post-release right?

My stupid GAME store only has the base game or the Collector's Edition for pre-order and the clocks' ticking so it looks like I won't be getting hold of the Deluxe. I don't mind buying the DLC individually as long as I know that I'm not missing out on any characters. But for now at least it seems there's no pre-order specific character.

I don't really care about any of the other bonuses. I just want to make sure I have the full roster :)
 
@Psykai Nothing that's only in the season pass, no, but if you're buying all the content anyway, it's pretty likely you'll save money by buying the season pass, which you should also be able to buy at launch separately, as it's not exclusive to the Deluxe Edition.

I didn't realize the Season Pass itself would be buyable separately. That's great news. Thank you! I've been so paranoid that I might end up with a character missing as a result of not pre-ordering. Can rest a little easier now, lol

Yeah, I just bought the Season Pass separately at my local store, so no worries. They're trying to tell me that I should come to the midnight release for the code though lol. Like why can't they just give me that earlier?

My point was that the precedent has already been established. It's too late to put the genie back in the bottle.

That said, I'm definitely expecting at least one guest in the Season Pass, and wouldn't be surprised if there were more. SC fans will have already bought the game and many of them will have bought the Season Pass with it. There's no need to keep trying to make us happy.
 
Hasn't Okubo stated that there won't be a guest in the first season pass as that's not something they're planning right now, but there could be a guest in the future if they make a second season pass.. Also the possibility of SCIV/SCV characters too.

We have (character wise):
DLC Character 1 - Bonus - Tira
DLC Character 2 - ????
DLC Character 3 - ????
DLC Character 4 - ????

Coulda sworn it was said there would be one guest in the season pass. Is why most people are assuming such with thier predictions.
