Do you have any leads on Mi-na's second weapon? I really couldn't even begin to hash that one out.


An interesting theory, and might be a "confirmation" that Hilde isn't going to make it in. I really don't think Sophitia will have an axe in the final game, though, and it was just them using the model on Sophitia's style to show off the Lizardman CaS with an expected weapon. It's possible, of course, but I won't believe it until I see it. Xianghua having Qing Long is... dicey, at best, but she even had it in SoulCalibur II, which included Yun-seong and Assassin, so I'm not counting Hwang out, just yet.

No problem. That looks like 翠雲 to me. First kanji is another kanji for the color green, and used for the gemstones jade and emerald. The second one means cloud. So I think some variation of Green Cloud is a safe bet lol my guess would be Emerald Cloud or Jade Cloud. It will probably be a green lance haha

Thanks again. I dunno if it's my eyes, or just it was in the last stretch and I was worn out, but I can definitely see the "kumo" for sure, now, but the first one is still a bit hazy, but I can see it if I squint. So much for Defender, I guess!

Yeah the first one was hard to make out, but I definitely saw 卒 in it, so out of the kanji that use those radicals 翠 was the only one that made sense. And I'm happy to help

The joke weapons would be an odd exclusion unless they were being kept secret.

I would like to point out that "The Acient" were a set of weapons in SCIII used by Olcadan, they were all re-skinned for SCIV as the third weapon with fully neutral stats in IV. (Each character got a 1P and 2P with completely neutral stats + a third one which while had neutral stats might have had native skills to it)

Both Sophitia and Zas have recoloured 1Ps for their pallette swap.

I had considered "The Ancient" when I was doing the translating, but I figured that wouldn't make much sense, if only Seong Mi-na had one. But that weapon in your image is Hyup Do, so that's not going to work here. Olcadan's "The Ancient" for Seong Mi-na was modeled after Ambassador, and that, too, is in Seong Mi-na's list. So unless it's modeled after Defender this time, I don't think it's this concept.

I think it makes sense for joke weapons to be DLC, especially for non-veterans. Joke weapons screams cosmetic/superfluous, which is perfect for DLC.

I think more peole would dislike them than not, which is why i think they wont do this. I feel like they'll bundle them with other things they know people will want. Such as previous 2ps.
