Japanese people don't deal well with that, I think. Female form is always represented in a very restricted manner and anything that is not attractive does not belong in mainstream media. Even in games with body horror themes, the female body and face is very rarely disfigured or mutilated. It usually retains everything above the waist in human form and attractive features - big breasts, nice face with a tiny twist like sharp teeth or maybe a missing eye.

Out of curiosity, what would that line be for you? For me it would be lootboxes.

Which is sad, but it was something I was already well aware of before we knew anything about which races might be gender locked. This is certainly not a problem exclusive to Soulcalibur, but it's still unfortunate to see such restrictions. Even if we can only speculate so far about the gender options.

Shoot I'd even take a "sexyed up" version over no option at all. Plenty of sexy half-orc and other things examples out there. Something a bit more monstrous but sexy is a compromise I'd be happy with.

The closest thing we will get to that is Ivy's boobs Pyrrha Omega. A female half-Orc is too masculine to be waifu material probably.

I just noticed that the song playing during Kilik's fight is also played in the beginning of the character reveal videos! Neat, plus it confirms my theory that the story mode will have special event-related songs.

But why did they have to skip through most of the cutscenes?!

What I want is freedom, like with the recent video with the afro. I would like to take some scissors and cut the sides or braid the sides. While having the fro at the top.
 
There's space for two more characters at the bottom (one of which is Tira), so there could be an unlockable story without the screen needing to expand. Inferno having his own story would be weird so perhaps Lizardman (if the normal one's in the game and it's not just generics like SCII), or maybe another unlockable character we haven't seen any hints of yet.
