Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

The Beta tease shows Kilik, geralt, Mitsu, Groh,Sophie, Ivy, Taki, Talim, Xiangh, Sieg, Night. And that's 11 characters, maybe all those will be playable plus 4 others?

@wataru Yeah and maybe people will stop being negative now lol
 
I'd imagine it being the E3 demo's characters plus 2 more, of which Talim I guess is one if she's in the teaser (so likely it's the ones in the teaser + Maxi, Zas, Yoshi, and one other).

If they're all playable, I'm guessing the remaining four will be Zasalamel, Yoshimitsu, Maxi, and maybe Voldo.

It's hard to say really, if you care about online then PS4 will almost certainly have the larger playerbase. If not, just go for whichever controller you like best.

One thing against PS4 is than Sony's heavily opposed to cross-play right now so if XBone gets cross-play with PC it might end up with a bigger combined playerbase (at least short term), but of course Bamco might also decide not to bother with cross-play at all.

Thanks, but I mean in terms of performance or potential problems regarding next weekend only. Would the lower playerbase (XB1) be a better choice in terms of less lag?

Perhaps I could just hire out both consoles?
 
Just realized Astaroth's shoulders were specifically designed so when he leans forward to bull rush, it looks like he has horns.

I noticed and changed it. PS4 will probably have a decent bit more players but that could actually make XBone better since the load on the network would be lighter (and hence playing it would be maybe more stable).

It's still worth considering the controller though, if you feel more comfortable with PS4 controllers get that, if you prefer XBone controllers get that.

We already know her weapons, from the modes trailer:

Qing Long
Makhaira
Kard

Qing Long is just a generic dao sword though, doesn't have strong ties to Hwang or Yun-seong. It was first seen in SoulCalibur II, wielded by Xianghua, when it was called Qi Xing Sword. Then, Hwang/Chinese Sword got it in SoulCalibur III as the basic weapon (not Blue Thunder, which was Hwang's weapon). Next, Yun-seong got it in SoulCalibur IV, which was the last time we saw it in its original state. It was redesigned to be more feminine, thinning the blade, recoloring it, and adding a tassel, and it was passed to Leixia. It's almost assured that it will be this variant of the weapon again that Xianghua will be using.
