I actually enjoyed having so much pretty umbrellas to choose from in III and IV. The Soul Calibur umbrella was an odd choice, though.

Through Alpha Patroklos, one of the only ones I truly liked from his selection was the hidden cane sword because it still maintained the cute gimmick Setsuka had of wielding a disguised weapon.

The iaito is not very prominent or noticable, neither is the sheath. Assuming color edits and maybe even sticker options, i dont see why more than one umbrellaless iaito needs to be available.

An assortment of umbrellas should be available because it is a large, pretty prop that can be seen.

...but yes we do need one umbrellaless Iaito
 
She doesn’t have too many feminine movements. We just need an umbrella that isn’t too frilly or ornate.

But still there was that one in V that looked like it was hidden in a cane. That was pretty badass.

Naaaa i think a better option is just make six weapons with umbrella and a single option without it. Same thing should apply to Yoshimitsu, Hilde and anyone else with additional props while i'm at it.

Actually in Hilde's case i might prefer even more than one flagless spear option.

But pretty umbrellas are such a limiting design choice for CAS weaponry .w.

Especially because Mitsurugi says when he meets Maxi in the main story "weren't you the nun chunk wielder that wanted me dead? Even though Li-Long uses something different from Nun Chunks I think it was a subtle hint

He defeats a NPC (using chained kozuka), he doesn't even look like Li Long.
