Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

Absolutely not. Let's not start the "we should have the same number of males and females", that's not how it works and shouldn't be an argument to create a video game.

The worst thing to happen to the game is if it were left to rot forever. The rest isn't that important.
The uneven number wouldn't be a huge issue due to CaS except that it effects CaS as well. Want more women use CaS. Ok great. Oh but you'll have less options. Why because there are more male characters so the males get more outfits from the main Cast. So even CaS is more limited for females due to the unbalanced Cast.

I don't necessarily feel that there should be the same number of males and females, but the number of females in base is low, especially considering that the females are some of the more popular characters in the series.

I'm always a big proponent of adding variety in big cast games. A cast can be done with all or mostly one gender, but there usually is not great reason to do it that way. Gender is usually just one of the simpler ways of encouraging different attributes to emerge.

No, the saddest thing would be if SC never got another game. Be happy we're getting one. It's the base roster. It sucks We're not getting Setsuka or cass. We'll get them later.

Other than that though, it"s like everyone here just gets more negative everyday. People are just complaining constantly. Just go back to talking about Taki's nipples, at least we weren't complaining. Instead of complaining about XYZ say something you like about the game or something. This is a FAN SITE, so uh, be fans?
We really need to be more positive, we're making ourselves look like ungrateful sods.

I think there's a difference between hating on a game vs. being passionate about a game or series to want the most out of it. Complaining or criticizing a small aspect of the game doesn't mean there isn't love for the game, and I think fans or the devs shouldn't be overly sensitive about it.

Ok guys correction from yesterdayazwell is base roster not unlockable i stand corrected i got faulse info sorry. There not leting me really record im being kind of slick or trying to at least. You can block moveing and they said that this version is the actual release version with added features what ever that means which i just think is bc of tira being in. Cervantes is 200% sc4 cervy with added bacon. I also gi’d siegs critical edge stylyn love this version its more fluid.

I'm not sure it's more limited when it comes to female... There should be more options indeed, but what we have so far is equally good (or bad) for both males and females. Just because males have more options doesn't mean they are better options.

Well, SJW would tend to say the opposite: women that got beaten by man in a video game? Women you can dress like a doll and make it your "property"? Women that have any interaction with a man (Mi-na with her father and Hwang, Viola with Raphael, Sophitia under Hephaistos' orders...)?

The gender (or race) card has NOTHING to do in a work of fiction. Just because a gender (or a race) isn't needed doesn't mean the creators are sexist or the game isn't fair. Do people complain about LotR being exclusively male members? Should they have made a game where more females are added for the sake of having "diversity"? SC6 doesn't need more femlas, the story is as good as is now, though legacy characters are welcome. We sure miss and lack Setsuka, Cassandra and Amy, but mostly because of their fighting styles, not their gender. And for a new female: if it's not required, there's no need for it to be forced upon us.

This is my last comment on the gender topic, for I don't want to pollute the discussion further with discussions that don't need to exist regarding the game. We should all focus on things that truly matter about the game.

Azwell guys is extremely op as fuck had a dude spam axes from half screen had me in gaurd lock insane.

I think i really like his moveset but dont care much for him as a character. I also think his moveset fits better on a female. So this is like the only situation where i will actually use CAS. Excited to see how she'll turn out.

Sounds like they pulled a Viola and made one OP character. I really hope I'm wrong.
