I hear people not liking CaS because they, are generic, well, yes, if all that you make is generic trash, don't expect to start liking it. CaS allows people to be creative in what otherwise is "just" a good fighting game into quite a sandbox that lets you enjoy the game in more ways than previously anticipated, based solely on your own creativity.
 
I also did Destined Battles for my OCs. And their boss varied too.

I wouldn’t mind if they could at least have a few options for features and not necessarily sliders. Still a step up. And freaking facial hair.

You know what’s annoying if you follow the leaked videos? The character art looks really different from the models. Makes you think we should’ve had more stuff.

I also like we can turn off intro/victory captions.

Ooh this is interesting! This reminds me kinda of the story mode in SC3 where you had to meet certain qualifications to unlock certain episodes. Maybe this is a variation of that here?

Indeed. A reminder of SC3 story mode (the best in my opinion) . So the player cannot unlock this chapter ? Maybe it will be unlocked when the game will be released worldwide ? And why this Raphael's chapter is unlocked .. Maybe it has to be unlocked by doing somee battles in libra of soul ? Or... in a more optimistic vision, Amy will be unlocked as Raphael's story is complete. And Namco want to keep surprises.. lol.

Ive never been huge on CaS. I prefer the actual cast of the game. But I enjoyed creating 1 or 2 characters in Soul Calibur 5, just for the fun of it... but for 6 in particular I like CaS because its the only way i can let myself believe I still have Lizardman lolz.

CaS is probably the biggest reason Aeon isn't in the game, the devs probably figured they wouldn't need to add him since players could just make their own lizard man. If they sell enough to continue the series Astaroth will probably be the next character to get cut and replaced with generic CaS creations.
 
  • Sophita isn’t seen marrying Rothion, but her ending is instead providing inspiration for Siegfried’s redemption.
  • You don’t kill Maxi’s crew with Astaroth.
  • Ivy’s story ends before learning about Cervantes from Taki.
  • Yoshimitsu is a jobber apparently being fought by Maxi and Taki.
  • Cervantes, Azwel, and Siegfried’s stories need to be unlocked.
 
CaS could indeed be way better... even if I could simply change each feature independently (like in the Warriors series for example, eyes 3 with nose 9 and mouth 7), or twitch them (eyes more open, slimmer lips, longer nose...) I would be so happy!

This feature is imperfect but we can still hope for improvement, maybe as a patch or for SCVII ^^
Yeah I loved the customization in Dynasty Warriors. I would love similar facial editing in SC 'cause I often hate most of the CAS faces or feel they look too same-ish and generic.

Why facial hair is still stuck on the face select is beyond me considering SCIII had it as an actual option... Blows my mind that they took steps BACK over something so simple.

God I'm so hype. It's 4 days away but each hour feels like 4 days in itself T_T

it just takes away from the truly competitive experience, after all only the competitive side of the FGC matters and only their opinions should be catered to

But what is interesting is the book icon not being the ending as thought forever ago back when we got the E3 story trailer. No one's story ends in a book. I guess book is used for locked parts, but unless the other lines had easily identified unlocks and Zasalamel's didn't, then I don't get why they'd have an icon to be only used once.
 
do we know how many rounds/chapters each character's story mode lasts??

In SFV, the story mode chapters were pitifully short for each character ( like 3 or 4 ).

I think you don't undestand the issue some people have with CAS. They don't make generic trash, they suffer form generic trash. For one good CAS encountered, how many dicks, barely-dressed pin-up, thunder god drums abuse, mario, batman, naruto, whatever unfitting or simply ugly character?
From my experience : way too many (and definitely a majority if including comic and manga stuff)

But I'm sure those people were OK with that, they were just asking for a refuge: online ranked.

I like CAS and I think SC need it, but don't pretend there is any issue with it.
