Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

I need your help once again, please. Using spoiler tags again. ^_^

Time: Chapter 4, 1587
Event: The Journey's End, Ostrheinsburg
Opponent: Azwel (permanently soul charged)

I've tried this fight a couple of times, with the styles of Ivy and Siegfried. I won 1 round once with the Siegfried style, but other than that, Azwel wiped the floor with me every single time.

A couple of questions:
1. Have you managed to defeat him? If so, how?
2. This may be a silly question, but what the heck: Since the event is called "The Journey's End", does that mean it's the end of Libra of Soul? Meaning that if I manage to defeat Azwel, the story is over? If not, please don't spoil how many chapters there are left to go.

Thank you for your assistance.

Let me see if I got this straight. Talim has a regular move that eats a third of the bar? Some dude was constantly spamming it. A THIRD.

Yeah, but it only does that on counterhit, and it has a set range, so... if you know when it's coming and what leads into it, it has really obvious tells and you should be able to avoid it. It's kinda crazy for Talim to be dealing Astaroth damage, though, yeah.

1. He is kind of a royal pain, you've mostly just got to play really defensive, block and punish. Ivy and Siegfried aren't really so good at that, Siegfried better than Ivy, but you might maybe try someone like Sophitia instead, not sure how familiar you are with her. Siegfried would be doable, I think, but his Reversal Edge range is terrible and I used it a fair bit in that fight.
2. No, it's not over just quite yet after this battle.

Many thanks to you once again. ^_^

I'm not familiar with Sophitia, but I will check her out. I'm taking a little break from Libra of Soul and playing some Soul Chronicle, so Sophitia's story is next on my to-do list. :)

Its really easy to avoid though and requires a lot of setup, and if she whiffs it you have a large opening to demolish her. Just sidestep and you'll be fine.

Please, Setsuka! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!

But i have a feeling it's 2 fucking B... Hyping it up, announcing it in Paris with Kayane, who fucking begged for her every time she saw Okubo. Seems like a no-brainer.

I'll take some comfort in the inevitable whining that will occur when people realize the Soulcalibur 2B is absolutely nothing like their Nier Automata 2B, completely lacking most of what they liked about her in the first place.

Then i'll think about who else could have made the roster, guest or not and i'll be dissapointed myself.

Do you think people only like 2B because of her fighting style lol As a Nier fan I can say that me and most people like her because of her character and design (also some like her for fanservice lol)

Anyway if 2B is in I would be very happy since she is one of my favorite characters of all time and she is popular which means more sales for SC

Ivy and Siegfried aren't really so good at that.

I did him first try with Ivy's moveset, whenever he got up close I used tools such as 88B then 8B+K to create some space then use 2A+G.

Also I don't think Ivy being weak against him is the problem overall, the AI gives the impression that it reads your inputs, reminds me of SNK boss syndrome.

Well, it only needs to connect once to potentially bring a huge advantage/win during any round. Setup or not, that kind of damage just seems wrong imo.
