They aren’t giving us multiple characters at a time this season sadly. I’ll see you guys in August for character #3

I think is mostly a Tekken thing and an internal company stuff.
Because I agree that is shameful that all of Season 3 of Tekken is done already and we only have Hilde from Season 2 and that was in November, with the longest wait if we don't get something in March.
That's why I insist on the 2 characters coming at once because if not, is a bad look for the Soul;calibur team.
LOL, you can insist all you want, but there's got to be less than a one-in-a-hundred chance that this is going to happen. And I'm not sure why you think its such a bad look for the company; the timeline is roughly in line with what happened in the first season, and pretty much exactly in line with what anybody with a decent understanding of the industry and recent practice with regard to this franchise would have reasonably projected. That's why I insist on the 2 characters coming at once because if not, is a bad look for the Soul;calibur team.

I agree that there is essentially zero chance that two characters will be released at once, but I will say that this whole situation does shed some light on just how little primacy SoulCalibur gets within Namco's marketing and promotional machine. And I say this not so much for the reason that seems to be driving most similar comments here--the fact that Tekken, the cash cow, has released all of its current season's stable of characters before we have hit even the half way mark for season 2 of SCVI is neither surprising nor perplexing. Nor, for me, is it a particularly offending move to me as someone who is a SC consumer first and foremost over being a Tekken consumer; I get the business decision and don't feel Namco is particularly beholden to release their content in an order or fashion which serves my interests or my fellow SoulCalibur nuts.
No, rather the evidence that establishes both the second tier status of the franchise at Namco and the fact that its releases are maneuvered around other priorities within the Bandai Namco software divisions is the fact that Setsuka (reasonably presumed to be the next character for a number of factors) was not timed to co-occur sakura hanami season, despite the fact that the character has a strong thematic link to cherry blossoms that would seem to make her the no-brainer release for March/April. When a title is such an after-thought that the publisher can't be bothered to try to leverage some free kano season marketing for a Japanese product, you know it's pretty far down the totem pole of the parent company's priorities.

Really man, "shameful"? Isn't that a bit much to describe the lackadaisical pace of some DLC content for a video game? If that's the threshold you reserve for that term, what word are you going to use to describe something that truly is ugly and a cause real reproach. Let's keep some perspective when we voice just how much we are being let down on some ultimately pretty trivial consumer matters. This is what I mean when I say that gamers have gotten so spoiled in their expectations and particularly with how entitled they feel in expressing their misgivings as to content and releases.
The truth of the matter is, the relative timing of the SoulCalibur and Tekken season pass content was a pretty reasonable and predictable business decision, when you consider the relative install bases for the two games, but even if that we're the case, SoulCalibur getting the short end of the stick as usual is only reasonably described as vexing at most. I say this as a loyal consumer of the product for two and a half decades who certainly wishes SC was given something closer to equal treatment, but who can also understand why we're a long ways from such a state of affairs.
Well, they have a responsability to deliver, but nowhere in the licensing agreement for the product you purchased (assuming that, like most of us here, you bought the season pass as soon as Hilde went live) were any of us guaranteed a specific launch date. And meanwhile Tekken keeps the lights on; I have always been and will always be a SoulCalibur player first and foremost, but I understand the factors which would motivate them to rush the Tekken content out the door. Do I find it frustrating? Hell yes. Do I think it's a little short-sighted, in that SoulCalibur is having a moment here where Namco could really bootstrap the franchise if they showed it some support roughly commiserate with Tekken? Yeah, I think that's probably true too. So for both selfish subjective reasons and practical business reasons, if I were in charge of Namco's production and release schedule, I'd definitely be taking a chance on pushing the timeline for SCVI-S2 more aggressively. But at the same time, I understand why a company would prioritize the sure thing in these circumstances.I don't know about you but to me, that's inaceptable. As a consumer, I count because while not Tekken, I'm still supporting the product with my money. And they have the responsibility to deliver.
As a DOA fan, this not exactly something to be greatful about. You guys have it better (even though it sucks waiting 6+ months for characters). Allow me to explain: 99.9% of the stuff being sold by Koei Tecmo is nothing but shitty content no one wants or asks for (unless you're a dumbass whale/shill who buys the $90 season passes).DOA fans may be treated like pathetic paypigs, but at least they have something to pay for!
Even more reasons why Koei Tecmo deserves to be shat on xDWe don't have to pay a buck to change character's hair colour tho

maybe in SC 7 or 8..We don't have to pay a buck to change character's hair colour tho
I feel bad for the DOA community with that. I mean $90 for a season pass? That right there is EA and Activision levels of bullshit. And I thought the MK community had it bad with it’s emphasis on grinding. As a DOA fan, this not exactly something to be greatful about.
