Raphael's SCV Command List

If 66A+B is so impossible to combo, then its going to be used just a ground hitting move against rollers. The -2 on block property from SC4 is a lot stronger than in SC5, since a lot of characters have improved frames all around.

Wuht, Triple Botta in Tempo 6BBB wasn't NC in SC2 was it?? It could create a frame trap and hit them over and over again but it was just because it was probably soo fast.

SC2 Raph was truly the best. I just learned some combos and techniques I never discovered or used back then. 4 different Preps was sooo awesome. Raph could go from one Prep move to another, creating a chain of attacks with a combination of blade and kicks. Also, with soul charge, all of Raph's advance step moves could become unblockables!! Now after seeing Raph's past again, maybe 66A+B should b able to go intro Prep again. Just a few Prep entry moves is not enough!!

You guys are high on SC2 Raph for all the wrong reasons. He was strong because of roachy shit like 2k and BB and a good 3b. All that prep stuff didn't work within the system because of step guard. Was it fun to do? Sure. Was it cool in theory? Sure. Was it gonna beat a roachy step guard whoring Xianghua? Not on your life.

This Raph looks to be plenty strong, given SC5's system. I'm more than happy moving on from SC2 at this point.

As a neutral 3rd party, I don't see any sense of antagonism in Kowtow's post.

His point can be summed up that w/e was effective in SC2 competitively will likely be different (for the better hopefully) in SC5.

Even then, Raph's extra long foot made his 2K one of the best of the standard 2K in SC4 (a minute benefit).

Here's hoping to unlocked potential in Raph's 3A, prep214, and his VE.

Even though I know nothing about Raph, I'm glad to see that his Preperation has a low mix-up now other than that slow ass jumpkick.

I wouldn't count on Prep A+B as being MUCH of a mixup tool. It looks similar to 44b, so you could try something like a mixup between entering prep or not, and then doing one of those two moves. But they're both highly linear and unsafe. After a week or so, I think Prep A+B will become much more situational, as people will be used to seeing it. Even has a strong audio cue as he's going HAHAHAHAHA before he even hits you. This will be a VERY easy low to react to, but the fact remains that it does have a strong backstep built in. It can also be a strong combo ender after 66b.

That was the Casual Player in me talking. The move just looks cool

Alright, what's the move that makes him do that awesome laugh, and how easily will I be able to spam it?

As long as his 11K catches reliably like other 1As in the game, then I don't care if Raph giggles like school girl.

I hope now that it requires more inputs to do, that its actually quicker than in previous games! Hope it leaves you at more advantage too!

I don't recall:

Did anyone see what moves Raph's 4A+B will aGI? And what attack is triggered on a successful one ? (hopefully SC4's 44B AT returns here)

Haven't seen so far, but I guess it will be the usual, like the BE version of 6BB.
I would love it if we could enter prep : imagine, your opponent is on the ground, you do 4A+B and switch immediately to prep/SE mixup.
If 4A+B isn't too slow, it could open a convinient wake-up game.

I'd like to see Raph's answer to 236236 from omega pyrrha. Her double nemesis step looks to be super crouching yet again, with the nasty B followup. Prep214, 2K, 2B, 1B, deliver us from this evil!
