I read yours as well. All three chapters of "You Ungrateful Greek." Will PM you Talisman, as not to spoil anything for the others!
XD Hilde and Lightning?! Well, alright then. But just to warn you, it's even longer than Calibur world.I have braved Lightning x Hilde and lived to tell the tale. Try me.
My crazy imagination.Too much to read! Slow down you people!!! XD
EDIT: This FanFiction thing is haaard. How do you people do this?

Really? Aww, thanks. It was my first fiction and reading it over, I think the first seven chaps weren't that great. Things got better after that. And I'm open to constructive criticism, so don't hold back if you see something :DI started reading the first chapter of "A Journey of Fate", and I must say, I like where it's going! Nice job, darkwings. :)
My crazy imagination.
You all will hate me for this. But it must be said. Agghhem *cough*
From what I've read, mainly Darkwings, Sophichans, and Talismans FanFiction, you are very imaginitive with your stories. They are well written. But the point arises.
As far as I can tell, the only thing they have in common with Soul Calibur; the only thing they have to mark them as "Fan Fiction" is the character names, and maybe a few idiosyncrasies with their SC counterparts. Take that away, insert your own characters, and you have something wholly original. So the questions begs, Why?
Did they? Or would have been just as detailed and crafted with your own characters? Sure it would take longer, a lot longer (everything I have posted on here, as far as creative writing, was originally done about a month previous. I spend a lot of time editing and revising. And hell, I spent 2 months working out Arianne, Cassandra, and Petter.) but it would be just as good.
Yes it does take longer, but the reward that knowing your work is wholly your own is very sweet. Maybe I'll never understand, or figure it out. Can't say I'm not trying though...
EDIT: Update to my own fanfiction attempt. I've all but given up. 5 pages of notes, two lines of actual writing, close the screen thinking "This is ridiculous. I can't do this." Maybe its having to work within someone else's 'rules.' Maybe it's even the contradictory original material (Talim being so forgiving, innocent, ect, after punching a dude in the face with a blade). I'll try to power through, and it will be released by next Monday at the latest. But god its awful (to me).
Does not compute.
Need input Stephanie.
I'm in the process of my own tory and i'm making my own characters, they're coming out quite nice too. If you make a fanfic, I WILL read it, good/bad/ completed/in progress.
I'm not trying to brag, really, but I write my chapters literally while i'm just thinking about them and BAM! They end up being good, sure I edit, but am I the only one who does that and has success?
I deleted that post, didn't want to start an argument. I mean to be more pleading with you guys than anything else.
The short stories I do don't go through more than two edits. But the big one currently (out of sheer curiosity threat) has and will go through countless revision to get exactly how I want it. You are truly gifted then Tali! Haha!
ALSO I AM APPRENTICED!! I had to announce that somewhere. lol too excited. My cousin (with a Masters in creative writing and book publishing) is basically tutoring me. He gives me a project and a time frame. I.E. I want a story on a topic you loathe in two weeks.
Hee hee!! This is going to be so hard, but I want to do it!
Ok, I'll see if it's at my local library!!!Will check that out later, thanks!
By the way, read the book "Sin and Syntax" by Constance Hale. I'm learning so much.
Ahahaha, the reason why I wanted to write a fanfiction in the first place because... let's face it, I'm the only writer that supports RaphXTalim. So the reason why I poured all my efforts into writing a super long fanfiction was to support them. Along the way, I tried to support morals and themes such as discrimination and the fact that people fear what is different and this was a great case for Raphael being a vampire and all. And then there's Talim who comes up with things such as "Hate will not heal you" and things such as compassion for the suffering everyone experiences deep down. It's weird, I knew that it wasn't a popular shipping so there wouldn't be much reviews but I did it because it I wanted to. ^^ It seems that I've actually managed to convert some people into liking this couple so I feel kinda successful. Well, that's my strange reason as to why I like writing fanfics. You all will hate me for this. But it must be said. Agghhem *cough*

1) Creativity.Talisman, Darkwing, Exodus, I will leave you all with this for the night.
Please understand I hold your abilities in the highest regard, and do not think less of you for writing Fan Fiction. Fan Fiction on the whole just doesn't make sense to me. Why do you write it? What do you get out of writing it? Why put your (extensive) talents to characters that are not your own?
If you want to PM me an explanation that would be fantastic. This topic leaves me completely befuddled.
