Revised, added stuff, detailed, more info.
The desolated wasteland was empty. The wind was whistling ominously. Her friends, Patroklos, Pyyrah, and Zwei, had already entered the portal. Viola was unsure if this was the right thing to do.
They had defeated Soul Calibur finally, after a gruesome battle. Their mercenary group, Schwarzwind, had fought against Soul Edge and Soul Calibur defiantly. Graf Dumas, Nightmare incognito, had planned all of this unbeknownst to Schwarzwind. He had lured Patroklos into helping him by making him think he was killing the malfested. The towns became angered with Patroklos and tried to persecute him. Zwei, Viola’s secret lover and best friend, had recruited him when he had nowhere else to go. Pyyrah was Viola’s other best friend. She had been used by the malfested with the ring blade, Tira, who in turn was being used by Nightmare.
Viola, Zwei and Pyyrah had joined Schwarzwind when Hilde, Siegfrieds wife, had rescued them from Patroklos when he was on witch hunts. They were very kind to them. They even made friends. One of her dearest friends….. had lost her life in the endeavor. Salia was her name. Poor, poor girl. She had put up a good fight, but was no match for the rage of Soul Calibur combined with the power of the Azure Night. She valiantly saved Pyyrah from Nightmare’s wrath and Soul Calibur’s majestic dominance, while losing her life in the process.
When their battle had ended, a huge beautiful light beam that looked like an aurora shot down from the sky a few meters from where Viola stands. It landed on the holy blade, Soul Calibur. Soul Calibur was impaled in the ground a few yards from Nightmare’s broken body. When Zwei had figured that Nightmare was Dumas, his anger combined with Viola’s potency he was no match for them.
They had debated whether to enter or not and finally decided to enter, but Viola had her doubts. She did not want to enter. She sensed an evil aura emitting from it. But in the end, she had to enter for her friend’s sake.
Viola!
Strange. Had someone called her name? No matter. She had to go through the portal before it closed.
“Viola! No!” She was sure she heard someone’s name.
“No! Viola! Don’t go in the portal! Don’t do it!”
Siegfried! She thought instantaneously.
“Siegfried, thank goodness you’re here! Why should-“
She was cut off as a force pushed her into the light and she fell unconscious.
Hey! Wake up. We’ve been waiting for 5 minutes already.
She heard Zwei’s voice and followed his command. When she awoke, she saw the most beautiful place ever. She was in Heaven. There were beautiful monuments everywhere, clouds floating not far away from them, and an alter in the middle of the clearing. Everything was just so
blissful! The floor was silver and a beautiful shade of it at that. The sky was a clear blue, a blue that the perfect day would have.
“It’s, it’s beautiful!” Pyyrah exclaimed. “The alter looks very Greek to me. I wonder what it’s for.”
The alter had steps leading up to it. Not so many, maybe 5. It had a cloth on it and an Iaitō blade in the middle.
Just then, a silhouette appeared at the foot of the alter, floating?
“My dearest children…. Come to me!”
The silhouette became visible. It was a women with long blonde hair tied up in a braid. She wore a very revealing outfit. She had a see-through short top on and wore straps under so her breasts were not visible. She had a short skirt and you could see her panties.
“M-mother?” Patroklos finally stammered.
“Yes my dear. Now, come to me, both of you.” She said with a smile that could’ve been either sincere or sinister.
Patroklos and Pyyrah both ran to the stairs to reach their mother at the top. Zwei and Viola both stayed where they were. They felt a little awkward at this family reunion.
“Mother, I can’t believe it’s you!” Pyyrah exclaimed.
“Yes my child, it is I, Sophitia.” Sophitia said.
Sophitia grabbed Patroklos chin with two fingers lovingly and said to him, “My son, you were destined for great things!”
The way she had said
were had made Viola uneasy.
“But sadly, you have gone down the wrong path.”
By this point, Viola heard a hint of malfestation in Sophitia’s voice. When she looked at Patroklos she saw the dismay and sadness in his clear blue eyes. He seemed genuinely disappointed his mother was not proud.
“You have been killing innocent people. That deed makes you as tainted as a malfested. The malfested in the world must all perish.”
“But mother, what do you me-“
“SILENCE CHILD!” Sophitia screamed.
“Do not worry, poor Patroklos,” She said in a loving and soothing voice, “I love you and would never do anything not to help this world.”
Viola looked at Sophitia with fear. This woman was demented. A psychopath. Crazy. Then, Viola’s eyes saw Sophitia’s hand move to the blade silently and unnoticeable with everyone’s eyes on her.
Viola then realized what was going to happen.
“PATROKLOS!” She screamed, but her efforts were futile. She was too far away from the alter. Patroklos couldn’t hear her. So she ran towards them.
“This worl-“ Patroklos had begun.
Viola was running top speed when she had to stop because her legs wouldn’t force themselves closer to a mother who would do this to her child.
Viola couldn’t believe what she saw.
Sophitia had grabbed the blade, and shoved it through Patroklos’s neck. She seriously just drove a sword through his neck. His blood splattered everywhere. It even got on Sophitia and Pyyrah. Patroklos’s neck convulsed and he threw up blood all over Sophitia’s arm, which was still holding the blade in Patroklos’s neck.
Sophitia had a sick grin on her face.
Viola stared. She was going to throw up. But before she could, Sophitia finished the job.
“My son….. you shall suffer no more.” And with that, Sophitia slowly pulled the blade out of his neck and quickly sliced his chest.
More of his blood splattered everywhere.
She let Patroklos fall down the stairs, dead, without a word.
