Also, that above tier list is kinda wrong. Jin's listed at 3.5 for Nu, while on Nu she's listed as 6.0. Doesn't quite add up. I also disagree that Rachel has that much of an advantage.

The above Rachel video there is pretty cool with regards to manipulating her pumpkin projectile. You can also move Rachel around with her Sylphide (her Drive). Try doing 6C and then immediately do Sylphide, she'll fly across the screen and hit multiple times.


After playing through the story mode, Ragna isn't Sol, despite similarities in moves. I thought that he'd be similar to Sol with the whole anti-hero motif, but he's actually quite a bit different and it's kind of refreshing. As far as combos go, Ragna relies a great deal on his Inferno Divider rekka. While the finisher (kick or punch) deals the same damage, the punch can lead to an extension of his combo (basically tying a Gauntlet Hades). There are certain requirements to get it, though, and I'm not too clear on what they are. But he's a pretty good character to learn BB's timing with.

Someone said the same thing on SRK, I forget what the other person said tho. Honestly the tier listings now arent really much of anything because the majority of people just got the game yesterday.

Game's been out since November 08, IIRC, and there have been loads of competent to insane match vids online of JPN pros. The current tier list is not something to ignore, though it is subject to change. ATM, v-13, Arakune, and Rachel being top 3 has been set in stone for a while. The only portions of the actual tier list that has been changing, recently, is where all the other characters place.

Do people forget these games get released in the arcade first?

i guess it was just to fix the netcode... people are saying that online has reduced - no lag.

which is good. i hope they patch V-13 with a meter of some sort...

I didnt need any of you nitpicking what I said. I said the tiers were most likely going to change I know the shits been out since last year.
 
The patch definitely fixed up the netcode. It's still not great, but it's a lot better than it was.

EDIT: I finally figured out where I've heard Taokaka's english VA from. Kenshin! She's the voice of Misao!
 
I was thinking of getting out of the whole "playing fighting games competitively thing"... but god damn... I LOVE THIS GAME.

It took me a bit to get into how to do diagonals in this game (and by relation, quarter circles).
