Evo 2k10 SC4 side tourney 7/9/10

Apparently JF umbrella can always get you if you do CL 214. The only exception is if you get around enough to force a need to turn.

SE Ivy is just risky in itself. I still dont use it as much as I used to, but I need to not use it at all in the match up. It was fun. Despite the small numbers I at least got to play some really skilled people and got a chance to play high level offline. I played as well as I wanted too despite some play error so I'm happy.
 
As far as I know, from playing with Woahzzz, JF umbrella will trade or beat anything Ivy does from that stance. It'll flat out beat anything at far distance and trade only trade with Ivy if she inputs K right away. Other than that, as a side note, Sets can just guard for a second or so outside of pointblank range and the K will whiff.

Still, if Sets tries to retaliate and misses the JF umbrella, she'll eat a CH K.

I played Rock/Tira/Mina and got 5th. Mission accomplished.

this tourney was pretty LOL, glad we all got together and had a little fun with it.

This tourney was fun, thanks to Cha Cha for running it. GGs to whoever I played, don't remember names other than Cha, but the Mitsu and Asta I played were both very solid.

Oh good shit in T6 btw I saw u on the stream for the first time since Chicago yet still recognized u. You fell just short of top 8. You prob could have beat Deviljim had u stuck to ur guns Bob and forgot about Jack. Solid stuff though!
 
Mateo- why so touchy? All i said is, if you didn't want to join, then you shouldn't have. You were sitting there playing tekken casuals at the station next to us the whole time ANYWAYS and would have probably still been doing the same until the room closed anyways, which is when this ended. Thanks, and don't forget to eat a dick on the way out.

SU- Amy was not banned. Hilde was half heartedly banned by suggestion from the few people there, yet no one cared. Hell there was even a Yoda player. But I know you wouldn't just take something you heard once and just assume it's true. Your presence was sorely missed however, I know I love hearing about how good you are every 5 seconds. It's a shame you didn't make it out.
 
I dont think anyone in the SC tourny was really trying to make it a serious thing. We all just wanted to play people competitively and maybe win a small pot for it. MY only issue with it was the people constantly not being where they needed to be that held things up. Cha cha did a great job and put up with some BS to get it going (tho watching him agonize over how every match came to 3rd game 5th match when pressed for time was priceless). I was cool to have the few good people we did and made it worth the experience.

Sidenote...Tekken 6 bored the shit out of me when I tried watching it during finals...seriously whats the appeal there? Combos and set ups just looked so uninteresting. I tried to give it a chance and view it at high level play and maybe find some appeal but I was just bored to tears. None of the mechanics seemed fun.
 
Not touchy cha just saying i didnt make any excuses. And Ivy Fanboy LOL who gives a fuck what you think is any good. You told me movement in Tekken is easier then Soul Calibur YOULOSE!!!!
 
No. I said it was still took skill to move in SC. Simply because the commands to move in sc are easy doesnt mean their isnt skill in timing and spacing with it. I dont play enough tekken to know if movement is hard. I tried it and found the combat system to be undesirable and boring...even at high level play its still boring to watch. Jugglings for clowns not fighters.

Oh cool, good games. I feel a little less bad about getting dominated now.

I can see Tekken being boring to watch to people that don't understand it, since it's not like all flashy. Its movement is on another level from SC's, though.
