Will probably not be at this event, but I agree with DK.
Except Tira up and Raph + Night down but it's not very important.

Siegfried and Zasalamel are probably the strongest character from this list.
Lizardman is VERY strong. In my opinion, he should not be in a low tier event.

And Starkillers A+B super throw break doesn't make up for his weaknesses?
I guess it depends on who he's facing, he's like top tier againstt Asta but weak ass tier against guys like kilik.
 
There are a lot of things in this matchup chart that I find funny, but I agree with Lizardman, he is definitely far from being a low tier character.
 
I don't care where you put these people, but this tournament should be limited to the following:

Zasalamel, Taki, Raphael, Nightmare, The Apprentice, Yun-Seong, Maxi, Talim, Tira, Rock, Seong Mi-na, Yoda

My only question is regarding Nightmare. I think he is better than people give him credit for and is the best character on this list. If he's allowed, then the winner of the tournament will be a Nightmare player. If not, oh well. But most are pretty much in agreement who should be in this tournament.

The main characters or contention seem to be Siegfried, Nightmare, and Lizardman. Personally I believe all 3 shouldn't be allowed. However I will stick with the idea that if there is contention over a character then it shouldn't be allowed. With that said :

Players find Lizardman, Nightmare, and Siegfried to be upper-mid tier (just short of high tier). The other 11 characters are either solid mid or low. Your final lineup is complete.

Amy should not be ranked in category 3. On that chart, she is only 4 points away from category 2. It sounds misleading to say that Amy is overall worse than Cassandra.

Agreed on those 3. Well, maybe not totally on Lizardman. But the thing is, if you're going to have nightmare then you need to have siegy. If you allow those 3 then one of them will win, unless Rock does instead.
 
Taki is by far the best on the list and by no means low tier. Blows Liz NM Sieg out of the water (Sieg shouldn't be here either)

But if she's allowed its all good for me....
 
No matter how many characters get removed from the list, there will always be at least one character that is better than the others. Eventually, it'll get to the point where you can only choose between Talim or Rock.... which would be a pretty boring tourney to watch.

With that said, I think Rigel's list is the most realistic.
 
What's so great about lizardman?

Anyway Nightmare and Siegfried are the most successful characters in these lists. Everyone else usually wins on ignorance, or just insane skill.
 
^Off the top of my head I'd say he just does really good NH damage, has one of the best 3B's in the game, good SG game and brainless stepkilling. Not to mention I'd bet less than a third of the players here can react to 1K consistently.

I don't think he's top tier or anything, but he's certainly stronger than everyone else mentioned in my opinion.

Ignorance might play a factor, especially with only 2 matches to adapt. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me at all to see a Maxi place high based on these things in spite of what people say about how bad he is.
 
You guys are silly if you think Nightmare is THAT much better than Taki.

I will agree that Sieg shouldn't be on this list because he is a much more complete character. However, I stand by the opinion that Nightmare isn't equal to Sieg.

Nightmare Verts are shittier, period, and has nothing to make you duck outside of throws (which you can still break). His CF game isn't nearly as good as Sieg's either. The only thing NM excels at more imo is his Wallgame which is very situational. Taki on the other hand keeps offensive pressure much better than NM and also has a better CF game IMO.
 
Really I think Taki's so called pressure which is pretty much PO is weak sauce if you know how to stop it.

Sieg on paper looks great, but he isn't better than NM. Sieg wins from his stances, which aren't all that impressive with decent reaction, and easily punishable at that.

NM on the hand has one of the best steps in the game. Which makes whiff punish with 3B something very nasty watch keev.
You talk about him making you duck, just about most of NM's stuff puts you in grab range.
His ringout game is hella nasty.
His tech traps and combs do terrible terrible damage.

GrimStride = fear.
NSS = Death.
