How much has 8way run helped your game?

Has anyone noticed a large improvement in their overall game after becoming familiar with this site, or has it made you worse/kept you about the same.

I joined a week or two ago since I needed some guidance on dealing with a new controller (a thread that go 0 replies btw) and ended up looking over a ton of info that has made me 3 times the player I was before coming.

I know I have I have stopped relying on that lag tactics and that has upped my game up alot. Its all the information that has been layed out.

I haven't played since I joined this site, but at least now I have an understanding of the 9AK stuff.

Helped alot, mainly for the different mixups/techs and its given me an insight into characters unsafe moves.

I didn't understand the game at all until I got here. I thought the game was this: Block correctly then use low or mid.

8 wayrun has helped me with my game tremendously. i have a couple of friends that i've been playing against since Soul Calibur on Dreamcast. we were always about equal splitting wins between each other. but now i pretty much dominate them when we play. i think what has helped me the most was learning about frames. it makes a big difference when you know what moves you can use and what you can't in certain situations. big thanks to everyone who devotes so much time providing the info on this site.

Meh nothing really changed much for me. Only thing that has is I learned like 2 wall combos with Yoshi. Everything else I basically understood before I came here and some of the set-ups here arn't the best. I find the unknown/unheard of set-ups to be the better ones.

if im honest, not much. i only play online, so alot of tech stuff can be irellevant, i dont want to learn frames and will only use combos i found myself. but i have been stuck on a few things and have gotten good advise.

I'm lucky enough to be surrounded by the FR community that is VERY strong (I believe FR and US are the best by far). I got a lot of technical info from 8WR and a lot of practical info from sc.fr.

So I'm very happy I can use both sites, and now I met some people who share my interest for Soul Calibur, I play only offline at least twice a week. Good stuff !!

the actual info here hasnt helped me, since im to lazy to read it, but coming to this site has hooked me up with some great players who have helped up my gizame...

8WR has helped me mostly by introducing me to top level offline players who occasionally play online. But, other than that...tournament play is what helped me the mos. 8WR is good for keeping you posted on the most recent gatherings coming up, and if you have the money to go that helps a lot.

8wr has helped me tons. When i first joined i had no idea how much depth there i didnt even know you had unsafe moves and techtraps stuff like that etc...

Infact i used to think i was a beast at fighting games cause i cud beat random ppl online using 22AAA and A+B with kilik.

And yh having all the combos written down for character ure looking to learn is gr8.

well i say yes ,frames and stuff are not the biggest concern for me and i like to find stuff out for myself so i never looked at the move's on the wiki. But it has connected me to a LOT of better players insted of just random scrubs online wich has made me improve. And the turnys, i always wanted to go to one but im olny 19 and dont have a way to get to michagan or columbus(i live in cleveland, no fuckin turny comes here?)so the online will have to do.but yes it has helped.

This site has moderately improved my play style, especially the amount of frames each character has and which moves in particular are safe/unsafe against certain characters. Other than that, nothing else (my grapple breaking was good from the get-go, so nothing to improve on on this site).
