If there was a Soul Calibur VI, prequel/sequel/reboot/retcon?

xi, he has something else to lean towards, which is the young group. All Astaroth has become is a punching bag. Hence his appearance in story mode, and the fact that Astaroths were being created, twice. Obviously for fan service reasons.
They should give Astaroth his own motivations altogether. No more being a pawn.
I believe Odashima said that Soul Calibur VI would definitely be a continuation of what was established here. The series would retain a rolling storyline.
They better do it right, their writing SUCKS. Reboot the story.

Astaroth is like a child. Once it is created, it starts out as dumb as a rock. If they aimed more on motivation, they should have either kept the first one (meaning he would have much more "intelligence" than last time), created the second one YEARS or DECADES ago (since this one was just created) or.......the unthinkable....

This is also unless this Astaroth was "created" with more knowledge. Eh... just a thought.

What I would like to see for soul calibur 6 going forward as far as characters go:

Who I want to appear;

Nightmare: Pretty iconic, at one point was even the Team Soul logo.

Tira: Very unique fighting style, as well as personality...and immortal to boot. She can stay.

Ivy: Possibly the most iconic person in the franchise. Her boobs sell well, she's immortal and has an interesting whip style. In SCV she was to much on the "good side" for my liking.

Kilik: One of the the many reason that got me into SC in the first place. A crowd favorite since day 1...needs his own moveset and his mask shouldn't cover his face. Xebia can go die lol.

Viola: Firstly they need to get her story straight, she can perceive the future with her crystal ball yet can't remember her own past? Once they get that mess straightened out, they need to fix her incredibly bugged gameplay.

ZWEI: He was an innovative character, it brought a new style to the table, but what I want to see is more of EIN. He should master his powers in sc6 and be able to transform into the werewolf in some stances.

Taki: Another crowd favorite....how could they replace her for natsu? In sc6 they could even give her more ninja like tools. Throwing kunai and possibly smoke bombs, would sure beat the ridiculous teleporting bs natsu pulls.

Raphael: Firstly I must say that I will only take this guy back if the bring him back to his roots. He's the vampire of the series and yet in SCV he barely showed a wink of any vampyric powers whatsoever. Really like to see him at his full potential.

Dampierre: The funnest charachter to play, buff him up in the next installment, and make him fit into the series better.

Liexia: Something about her drew me in, compared to Xianghua. Nothing bad to say, I didn't mind her at all, compared to the rest of the poorly created successors.

Cervantes: Immortal, double sword wielding, gun-slinging, guard-impatcing, teleporting, pirate. Such a great character design. One does not simply replace such a beast of a character.

Yoshimitsu: Namuuuuuuu, anyone who holds the cursed sword can become him, so there's no reason why he wouldn't make the sc6 roster.

Aeon: Really great, they gave lizardman an identity + wings + flame breath. Really liked what they did, he deserves to return.

Zasalamel: Do I smell a little racism here? The only black character with the fringing coolest weapon (Scythe) get's the boot? If he isn't back for sc6 I have lost all faith in this series.

Bagoo: Okay so if anyone following the SCV facbook page as the game came out, they quite clearly released a few pictures of rocks son, Bagoo. What the hell happened? Did they use his data to make Ezio? Bagoo was shown to have a bow and arrow.

Talim: Wonder why the decided to get rid of her? I liked her style, for sc6 they could even incorporate wind/tornado style attacks into her play. Maybe she could even glide, or have really strong pushback.

Astroth: They need to settle down and choose a permanent form for this guy.

Setsuka: I want to see more umbrella based attacks rather then it looking like a minisword.

Someone to replace voldo: I really doubt a 67 year old would still be fighting. Time to give up the claws old freind.

Maxi: He's not specifically old....his hair style just annoys me for whatever reason. Off with his head!

Remove seigfreed: I always felt his moveset was to close to nightmare, and nightmare is immortal while siegfreed is 40 years old. How can he still lift a sword that big at his age? I think his time has run out. Sorry just my 2 cents.

Patroklos/Pyrrha: I know they won't remove them but for the love of god make them less annoying, especially pyrrha and her horrific shrieky banshee voice.

Edgemaster and the rest: Seriously what was the flipping point of the random square? I don't think we needed him or his 2 contrerparts, seems like lack of effort if you ask me. A random square if enough ffs.

An Anchor fighter: Why not have H-wang come back fighting with a friking anchor?

A Mace fighter: Giant spiked ball on a stick = victory.

A Balloon fighter: sounds weird, but imagine...a character blowing up all different kinds of balloon shaped weapons that could have many uses.

Maybe even a fan fighter? I think one guy even had a fan in soul calibur 3...the name escapes me. They could even make it so talim used a fan.

I propose to have the type of critical edge that the very first soul game had (Soul Blade on playstation 1). For those who know the game, it was performed by pressing A+B+K which would give a 4 slash combo if not blocked and if you input the right sequence at the right time you can have a further 4 slash combo for a total of 8 hits which was really cool to watch. To be honest it's the thing that I missed most for all the soul calibur games that came after.

A lot of them look a lot cooler then the exaggerated weird stuff in SC5.
Soulblade's version looked cool because it was like a showcased rush of all their best moves in one combo and didnt break away from the combat... where as SC5 has a lot of weird MvC styled stuff, too flashy and a lot look lame. (Rapheal's is my least favourite and I don't even consider Mitsurugi's one to even be real.)

lets see...if there were a SC VI then high damage remains and Gi would be untouched and probably just guard which i don't want any part of....with that in mind I quit the SC franchise for good.

If ONLY we could just SWIPE may and give her to Cervantes as a first mate.. >.< she'd be fucking awesome for soul calibur... dammit!

Thanks for the video :) Brings back nice memories. I remember when I stayed for hours on my PlayStation training to pull out those critical edge strings. We had only few players but a lot of fun. Today, the reverse is true!!

Haha I love May. Yeah, I have wondered why they haven't made a new character who used a giant anchor. I think it could fit perfectly into the game. I can so imagine one of the moves could be the character tossing it like a boomerang. :D

Yeah, a feud isn't all that great if it keeps going and going with no progression. Look at how Scorpion and Sub-Zero's feud progresses in the MK series.
They both die the first time. Now Sub-Zero, as a robot, is dead while Scorpion is lonely.

How about another rivalry, Chun Li and M.Bison. For how long has Chun Li's been pursuing Bison and has she beaten him? Or how about Ryu and Ken, although a friendly rivalry, that one will never seem to end.

Chun Li and Bison rivalry seems to be ignored this time because there are other rivalries Bison has (Rose and Guils). Chun-Li is beginning to drift towards Crimson Viper and Juri. Obvious catfight fanservice.

Ryu and Ken's rivalry will never end. Not even in 30 millenniums, because the fanbase won't let it end.

I hate to nitpick, but this statement is just...blehhhhhhhhh. By SC3 and onward Nightmare and Siegfried's movesets really only shared two or three animations, and thier style of play are completely different. Nightmare is primarily a rushdown character and Siegfried is a yomi/stance based character. And an old dude lifting up a giant sword is where you lose your suspense of disbelief? But you're totally ok with an immortal symbiotic knight who walks around and steals souls with his 6 foot flesh paddle? Cmon man. If youre gonna rip on a character, be consistent about it.
But I do feel like Siegfried may have run his course. I'd like to keep his moveset though. IMO its one of the more interesting ones to play. Way more than Nightmare at least.

Remove seigfreed: I always felt his moveset was to close to nightmare...
It doesnt make sense to think that but accept Pyrha and Patrolklos or even closer Sophitia and Cassandra.... Both styles have always been different despite similar weapons... though they're only similar because their stories are directly related...
