King Of Fighters Thread

I've heard from numerous people that this game wasn't that great. I hate asking these questions cuz they sound so lame... But I'm going to either get BB or this in the up coming week or so. Obviously I'm going to play both before I make my final decision, but I've read some pretty positive feedback in this thread. For those of you who have played/own both which would your reccomend?
 
I played it briefly and didn't really like it. It just felt way too slow, nothing like KOFXI. It felt like the only things that improved were the graphics and the new combo system; everything else pretty much went down the shitter. Maybe I need to play it more, but it gave a very bad first impression, so I would personally suggest Blazblue to you Thurge, as this game is not going to make enough of an impact that Jaxel will make a new forum for it.
 
If you have friends who you could play with in the area I'd recommend KOF12 instead cause I think it is a much more fun and balanced game than BB is. If you are gonna rely a lot on online play and want single player story mode etc then BB is a no brainer.

I would recommend playing both and making up your own mind. Other people's opinions don't count for much when you don't know where they're coming from, how smart they are or how much their tastes are like yours.
 
I will say that this game is a lot more fun if you play it like KOF instead of playing it like SF (which A LOT of people do).

I do that with any game I buy anyway. I was just curious of some other peoples oppinions, thats all. I really like BB, im probably going to end up getting it, but Im still gonna give kof a chance. I have a soft spot for it since back in the day..

lol true true..i wanted try the online mode and its really funny to see some robert player(or all the other shooter/shoto charas) trying to turtle around and mashing his shots at me....but to bad for the poor guy that im playing eliza(and mature of course) :p that game kicks ass XD i love it...to hell with that lame sf4 gameplay and more action ^^ anyway,this game is not slow..i think it has fast paced action till the end =)
 
Sweet Lord in fucking heaven this game's netcode is terrible. I knew people were saying it was bad, but I thought it was gonna be like, SC4 bad. Not THIS bad.
 
yeah i know -.-but i hope they will fix it soon =) that would be great,i mean if capcom can do that, than snk do it to ^^
 
i hear they are fixing the netcode soon and it will be as good as sf4 netcode which is very good cause at 5 bars i could do 2 frame links just fine in sf4... so kof being not so strict will mean near perfect connections... so we can all play online without a problem soon...

tiamat: u r right... it is the best... i was waiting for this ever since the first screenshots... btw who do u use? add me on psn and maybe we can have some matches?

nuez: lol... maybe focus on only 1 or 2? i sold sf4 when i got kofxii... and BB doesn't really look as gorgeous, dynamic and interesting to me... just a lot of flash on screen so i didn't even bother renting it... so i'm just focusing on kofxii ...and the random casuals with oofmatic and the toronto guys... *litte do they know my intention is to get em into playing kofxii*
 
I play leona, shen, iori team. I also use kim and duolon. I'd rather not play you online though cause of how laggy it is. plus the commands are so precise in this game I have enough trouble doing things offline haha. I could add you anyway though and maybe we could play after the patch see how it goes

good luck getting oof to play something that doesn't start with 'soul' or end in '-ibur'

i'm pretty heavily into goro, ralf, and joe ... messin with ryo and clark as well

lol... that's true... he won't even watch a match video of anything else... and ya my mains are goro, ralf & clark... i have to say i use clark first cause sadly he very weak without cc... and i try to get as far as i can with him and save a dm stock for ralf who's next... ralf is just fun as hell and he gets me pretty far... specially if i land a cc or if i can corner my opponent... but then theres goro who doesn't even need cc or dm... his normal grabs just hurt like a bitch... u should check out shoryuken and cyberfanatix as they have good info on the characters...
 
ill play mature,eliza and leona and still waiting for the netcode patch or whatever it is named -.- online sucks...an am curious if they will bring some charas as DLC would be great!(if this was discussed then sry if its a repost or re-ask)

yo I play leona too and I think her standing D is pretty good even though it whiffs against crouchers. you can use it as a poke move that double as an anti air. if it hits them on counterhit you can run up and C6B DM :)
 
jep im playin leona since 96(but it wasnt really serious) just liked her style ^^ ...thx for the tipp ^^..sounds awesome,im happy that almost every move from her is still there .
 
So people are saying that they are unable to do the raiden glitch and the infinite combo glitches (like joe's) on unpatched KOF12 games. The patch helped the netplay but added glitches in the process. Supposedly new one will be very soon.
 
yeah..ja can read the details on the facebood side from kofXii ignition/playmore..if anyone wants to know something specific things ^^
