EDIT: I re-read Jaxel's review... According to Jaxel, her speed is not ok, she's slow... Hmm, I couldn't really tell for sure from the video, but Jaxel tried her and said she's slow, so her speed is an issue. How can a character whose style is supposed to be quick and dancy, be slow? I don't want Leixia to be much slower than Nightmare, lol...
And her lows? :/

Yeah it's funny how Nightmare was described as crazy fast and Leixia with crazy guard break mixups. Should really be the other way around! Fast NM sounds cool, but a 100 pound girl breaking people's guards? I don't care about realism and it's believable considering other elements of the game, but in this case the aesthetics don't match the mechanics.

You can see it in the videos, Leixia's definitely slower than Xianghua was.

Wushu and Jian-style swordsmanship emphasis isn't just about speed, but precision and agility. That said, I think they're trying emphasis the differences in speeds between characters in SC5. Besides, either they make her fast and telegraph all her moves, or they slow her down and make her attacks a lot more deceptive.

I think that it is realistic. the moves that she is doing wouldn't literally crush your guard but would definitely put you in a position to block it and be in an awkward position where you wouldn't be able to attack right away like normal. like some crouching tiger hidden dragon stuff. I think that's the approach they were taking.

but NM being faster? he's already fast enough in 4 and their bumping that up? then he'll be in league with the smaller weapon characters but with a large sword and damage output. at least if they're making NM as fast as people are implying.

Um, that is Xianghua, not Leixia. So where did you get the info that you can use that costume as Leixia's 2P? And more to the point... where did that image (which has Leixia's pose, but certainly not SCV-level rendering - note the low polygon count, for one thing) come from?
 
Are you sure thats not just from Deviant Art with Xianghua designed in Leixia's pose? I have a strong suspicion that thats what it is. Fan work.

maybe it's the Wii version of SC5 with lower polygons
 
no it's not. That's either WuHT or someone else that goes on Poser 7 or some other program and puts the soul calibur skins on the people. there are quite a few of those CG fan renders on this website. and they don't come from any game. TypicalEvil hit the nail on the head. they are all fan made.

Ahem, if you guys actually did some research (and knew more general knowledge about voice actors in general), you guys would believe me if I said Michelle also voices Rukia Kuchiki, Tomoyo Daidouji, Anri Sonohara, Yuki Nagato, Carl Clover, Katherine McBride, Yukari Takeba, Rita Mordio. Now tell me how many of those you recognize, how many of those are young girls, and how many are not.

Hmm, I didn't say she was a bad actress did I? I said she didnt suit the character specifically or at least what she did in the beta. However I would have rathered have heard newer voices rather then the same people in everything I watch. Judging from who dubs this game, I would have casted Stephanie Sheh to do it rather then Michelle.
But if Michelle remains in this role, when she did, Miharu Sena Kanaka, was cute. and is what she should go with.
 
I give a shit about how she looks like and who her father is (X is a fucking whore! Fucking Kilik over like that), my main concern is her moveset. And my number one thing that I wanna know is does she have her old 22B back or is it like it was in 4 with 25B? I wish Jaxel would've said something on that.
 
Since she has a lotus them going on with her, one of her intro or win poses ought to involve her arriving or leaving in a Lotus Elise or Evora...

...Okay, I just had to get that off my chest. :P
