I'm seriously struggling with the Cervantes matchup, even more than Mitsu or Alpha.
aB and 4B(BE) are the biggest nuisances for sure. If aB didn't pushback like it does, it'd be fine. The other annoying thing is the ease in which he can punish 33BB up close with it. It can be hard to punish it with 3B if it's thrown out at random, and a lot of times, why shouldn't he? If you do punish it enough with 3B->CE you can maybe force him out of the habit.
The big thing with Cervantes, is that his launchers are kinda slow. Meaning 3B whiff punishment is harder for him than others. Because of that and his lack of great TC moves, you tend to get a good bit of mileage out of 22A at mid range. You already know about the block punishment so there's that too. She can punish 66A, and 3B on block with her AA and she can JG punish his BT B+K with AA as well. (No you can't JG that move on reaction, but it's the go-to move from BT, so it's baitable.)
His 4b(BE) just seems spammable at mid range so backstep dies often in this case. It's his main mid range threat, honestly. Without meter (or iGDR), Leixia is able to keep pace with him much better with 22A, iFC 3B, 22B, and 44A.
If you can manage to gain a decent life lead early, this match can actually be a problem for Cervy since she can punish so much stuff. Even if it's poke damage, it's annoying enough to force Cervy to rely on Lex making big mistakes.
btw he can also aGI FC 3BB with his B+K... don't ask me why that move has to GI lows too
