Mitsurugi General Discussion and Q&A

Is the FP guide wrong about 22A with Raph? If so, I'll be using it more when I play him. Guide says -16 on block.
yes fortunately its wrong....giving -16 to that move would be too much even for a low tier .-.
Probably they confused it with 33A that is visually almost identical but slower and mid.

for the other moves:
22B needs step is slow enough to be blocked....
66b >___> really slow
3B it was raph staple move in scIV in scV its unsafe his pushback sucks and on block its a suicide.

If you have a solid defense look how raph players will play against you.
Obviously if you try to press raphael things are harder for mitsu...

a question...
Any data on Mist A+B invincibility? i didn t catch how it works...it seems it react to any single hit mid and high for a fixed window...am i wrong?

idk for a window, but its fairly large.
it doesnt parry heavy hits or whatever the game considers as such

The guide says that any single attack under 30 damage is be absorbed and will allow MST A+B to hit no matter what. 30+ damage will hit Mitsu out of his attack and will grant the enemy a CH.

IIRC it absorbs a single mid or high under 29 damage.
Which also means that after almost anything it can actually absorb they can block or interrupt the attack.

Perhaps that may be true, I really haven't used MST A+B but I may have too look into it. I guess if the enemy does a quick poke they may be able to interrupt/block A+B but something a bit slower might not.

Actually, after nearly every "absorb" its possible to JG or GI the A+B, but animation of "revenge" is such that a lot of ppl confuse it with CH. Idk about high level.

Even after absorbing one hit my opponents have had time to block and some cases add another attack. Not to mention I have been easily interrupted by other characters' AA or BB as was mention above. To make matters Worst MIST A+B can easily be sidestepped. But the main issue is that there is no reason for the opponent to fear mitsu's mist stance in general. Once mitsu goes into stance, the opponent can duck and react accordingly. Mist A is slow and high, mist b although fast is still High and some cases can be interrupted especially with ws moves and mist B+K does nothing significant on nh. If mitsu still had mist 6b, it would force opponent to fear a legitimate mid move thus helping his low mist mov and hence have some sort of mix up game. When entering mist one goal is To land mist b BE on ch for big damage. But the lack of a legitimate fast mid move such as mist 6b in sc4, I find opponents anticipating and ducking accordingly.

I have to start using Mist Stance much more legitimately because almost the only times I ever go into Mist is when I get a CH with 44B, or 11BA, or I get a Guard Crush, that's all. I'm attempting to implement Mist into my gameplay but so far I keep abusing 66A+B its variants and the whole 6B series.

Don't fall too in love with it. After a while a wise opponent will adapt the short comings of mitsu's mist stance.

However having say that if u land 44b6 or 11(b)a6 on ch then get ready for some massive damage. You can follow with mist b BE or mist bb+k for some monster combos.

I enter MST through 44b6, or 11(b)a6 then follow up with B+G on stand up.

I feel like an absolute badass when I duck highs while in Mist and punish.

The only time I use is once in a while with 4A6 but that's getting me into trouble more than anything. Even when I mix it up with just 4A it rarely yields any reward unless some BS happens like if I catch them out of step with a B or B+K. Random 66B+K KB works pretty well but eventually people will catch on and just duck.

I guess MST KB and MST B+K mixup is a pretty good as a way to end the round but it's dangerous.

4A6 is -2 on block, and BBB or B BE are i9. It's a pretty good way to bait a CH into big damage if they try to hit you out of mist. Of limited use, because once they learn to duck against mist, the stance is mostly useless. Obviously if you can bait them into the second hit of 11BA6, its pretty good too.

Mist is more about baiting opponent than being a great offensive tool. Crouching opponents make a mess of you your options, seeing as you're left with A+B or just a measly K. I find B+K to be relatively useless, especially if held.

No they can duck and retaliate from there. Mitsu's mist Stance unfortunately stinks. :(. So unfair considering namco took away relic.

A+B can be block in reaction and B+K sucks on nh. :( trust me I have really tried to incorporate MIST stance but after awhile it is so easy to adapt to. Opponents fear Mist B ch. everything else sucks.
